I have had hunt on my fantasy team 3 years in a row and he is fading. Losing that quickness and edge. Other guys I would want over him.

We’ll likely address the RB position in the draft. It’s possible we could pick up a cheap veteran at some point just to cover ourselves. It’s going to come down to how the draft goes.

And they signed him for 3 mil. LOL

That was a good guess. Yah, Jerry drops the ball again.
That's my point, you can land a quality veteran for dirt cheap at the position with most of the cap dollars spent around the league. Certainly you want to get younger, but nothing wrong with protecting yourself from injury or if the prospect isn't ready.

You need 3 good back, not one great one and two nobodies. Pollard, 3rd round pick and a vet like Foreman would have been perfect.

2 speed guys and a thumper.

We know the team likes to protect themselves so they can take the best player available, it makes some sense to sign one of these type of backs. If they do sign a veteran, they won't become a progress stopper, just adds another veteran presence.

Running backs are east and fun to find. Could really honestly go into the season with pollard, Davis, and whatever falls into your lap at the draft or even udfa
Every position is easy to miss on in the draft. I'd get a cheap vet who has done it before, then draft a back to take a stab at not needing to pay Pollard next year.

Jane Slater said yesterday, as she said it was from a team source.
How do you replace the 12 TD's from Zeke. From Pollard. They said no, Pollard is not that type of RB, he can't get those 1 and 2 yard runs like Zeke did.

But yet they gave him $10 million.
12 TD's from inside the 5 is hard to replace. I still think it was a bad move to tag him. Now I am ok he is on the team, but it is a mistake to pay him that much.
Remember Barry Sanders, in which in no way I am comparing them. But they would remove Sanders from the field when they got inside the 5 yard line.

Not saying Zeke should have been kept just for those situations, as his contract needed to be gone.
So how do they replace those 1st downs and TD's.
This is why they add an all-purpose back via free agency or draft.

agree with the hunt assessment that he is fading. We look to draft to fill this imo

Question... If Pollard doesn't sign the franchise tag will Dallas rescind it after the draft.. If they draft a couple of RB's and sign a veteran.. Hmmmm

Best value would be to draft a RB, this drafted is filled with several good players. I just as soon pay a player on a rookie contract as opposed to vet pay.
Draft 2. Develop them so at least one can take over for Pollard in 2024.
We should plan to break the habit of 7figure RBs.

We have Pollard and Davis
Draft one in rd 3/4
That’s it

Why do we need another vet?

I would rather have let Pollard test the market but that ship has sailed

Not sure they will just head into the draft looking for a complement to Tony Pollard, who we have no idea if he will be ready for training camp. Here are a few names, that should come cheap at this juncture of fa:

-Kareem Hunt Browns
-Damien Harris Patriots
-Leonard Fournette Bucs
-Ronald Jones Chiefs

Drafted RBs can usually step right in roll. And this is a great class.

Meanwhile RBs in their fourth, fifth season are usually already in decline. I'll pass on veteran RB.
