I think it's a stretch to blame the coach for our own short sightedness. Looks to me like he's been coached up well and was given the best opportunity to succeed.

I didn't know we were talking about Spears, James, or Canty. I thought the subject matter was Carpenter.

Given he was brought in and moved to a different postition, I'm not surprised he didn't hit the field running. There were rumblings he was having a hard time with recognition.
