No Romo.
if we dont beat the Saints, were going to be 2-8 or 3-7, 4-6 at best.
But seriously, it is one game. Let's see how these next few games play out before declaring doom and gloom.
not quitting. just calling it like I see it. Ill watch every play , every game. always have.
i dont see us winning too many games without Romo. Doesnt mean I am right.
Weeden might become something else in the next few games. maybe we game plan better. Maybe we catch a few breaks here and there.....maybe the guys coming back off injuries/suspension will give us a good enough boost to win more then a few.....
I think we will be lucky to win 2 in the next 6/7 games.
yeah I know. And were back to that attitude of "Lets hope the rest of the division sucks, so we can make it into the playoffs"...
Although , I am on board with the "get everybody back and get hot down the stretch" crowd. I do think there is a real possiblity that happens.... I am hoping for it...
but if one of these teams turns it around and puts together a season, and wins 10/11 games....then we are most likely done.
I think the Eagles are just a bad team. I dont see it in Wash. But the Giants are a team that I can see doing something like that....
If we were all being honest, in hindsight, we wish we went to the Air Force.
Think about the flip side ... Saints fans I'm sure are saying, "If we cannot beat the Cowboys with their starting QB out, their #1 receiver out, top 2 or 3 pass rushers out, starting MLB out, and top CB out, then we deserve to be 0-4."
Just trying to temper expectations - we're saying that the Saints should be easy to beat in their weakened condition, but we're not exactly at full strength either.
I've been preaching that the past few days that despite the Saints issues the Cowboys have plenty of their own with all the key players they have missing. Even at full strength you can't take any team for granted we saw that last season with a Cowboys team that was at full strength and on a roll losing to a bad Washington team that was playing their 3rd QB. The Cowboys are going to be in a real battle to try and stay afloat the next several weeks minus Romo and Dez. The defense continues to have issues not being able to generate a pass rush and we're having problems stopping the run.
Too late. Didn't you hear, our coaching staff sucks, our defense sucks, the oline sucks, our WRs suck, our running game sucks, Weeden shouldn't be the QB of a pop warner team. I'm sure we are one loss away from the Jerry needs to step down as gm threads.
Doom and gloom? Hell it's post apocalyptic up in hear!
Lol yeah with all the panic, we might as well not watch the rest of the season.
why?
Were all looking at the Saints game and saying ..."We better beat this team", (not even considering the Saints may not be all that bad of a team) because we probably arent winning the next 4. We lose, thats a 6 game losing streak!! and even if we do pull one of those games out, say we beat Philly...............Its still pretty ugly......
meanwhile, if the Giants upset the Bills, they could be looking at a 6/7 game winning streak.
You hate to say any game this early in the season is a must win but the Saints game is about as close to a must win for the Cowboys as you'll encounter this early based on all the players they have out and the fact NE will be up next. The Pats are rolling and if the Cowboys go into that game coming off back to back losses their confidence will be shot and NE will likely win by at least 2-3 scores. Even if the Cowboys beat the Saints they're going to have a very difficult time beating NE with Brandan Weeden facing off against Tom Brady or any of the backups the Cowboys have. Hate looking at the schedule and start estimating wins and losses but NE looks like a loss unless the Cowboys can pull off a big upset so it makes beating the Saints virtually a must. We know it's not going to be easy beating the Giants and Seahawks in weeks 7 and 8 so if the Cowboys lose to the Saints especially if Brees is out they might not win another game until Romo returns which means they'll be playing for next year.
The Saints are bad. Even with Brees, they've looked bad, this year and last year. Were all looking at the Saints game and saying ..."We better beat this team", (not even considering the Saints may not be all that bad of a team) because we probably arent winning the next 4. Stop thinking like it's 2009. We're banged up, but we CAN beat them.
Your quitting on this team too early and don't tell me you're just being realistic. You have no clue how the next 7 games will play out. Wouldn't want to be in a foxhole with you when rounds start coming down range.

I agree. I chalk up Ls for both Seattle and NE. Most likely Ls for Philly and NY. Although I hold out hope we can take one of those games....but even if we do get W, it wont be enough. We need to beat the Saints. And it wont be easy.
I also hold out hope that these trades the FO have been making will pay off. With Cassel and Crissy making significant contributions when the time comes, and holding things steady until Romo is ready.....
Its not over....but its going to be tight. we cant drop both ATL and NO with NE, Seattle NY Philly coming up.
well, we can. but I would rather not do that;

Nobody here is "quitting" because to quit you have to actually be playing bro. Nobody here is suiting up, we are all just spectators and nobody knows what is going to happen and therefore people are giving their opinions. Some people think we will not win a single game with Romo and others think we will only lose 1 or 2.
We don't know who will be right or wrong, but to question somebody's courage or bravery and call them "quitters" is so over the top its laughable. How can a person quit something that they have no control over? They didn't cover that when I took quantum physics at UT.
