These people defending Jerry as a GM must be under 30 and just have no memory of when this franchise was run correctly. So, they have nothing to compare it too.
I've been around since the organization was born in 1960...you?

I just don't crap on everything walking by and comment then, Jerry...

Sure we have had Talent here since the Romo years, but the Talent hasn't been great enough to overcome the poisoned culture that is here, because the leader of the team is Jerry instead of whoever the head coach is at the time.

He's built good rosters over the years.... such good rosters that they haven't been able to get to the conference championship game, while at the same time the Cardinals, Jets & Jaguars all have been in recent memory

This OP must be on the Joneses PR payroll

Come up with a fancy dan X and O stat that proves just HOW EASY it is to win a Lombardi even with the best fielded team...and that might be a departure point. Might!

One of the biggest questions is, of course, how can the Cowboys improve enough in 2022 to make sure this does not happen again? With 23 free agents and both coordinators interviewing for multiple head coaching gigs around the league, the makeup of this team could be vastly different next season.

This very off season, this current team will take another fork in the road. We can all count on that fact.

So, you are talking about 26 years then...discounting the fact that under Jerry there were 3 Lombardis and another NFC game as well...ring around the focus points.

Throw in some insultive terms to another fan presenting a variety of perspectives, but don't approach end of season results for the past ten seasons...sorry, a bit of cherry picking. Being competitive doesn't always mean being champion.

I'm not impressed by a series of other fan supported high brow...really. There is merit even now.

As fast as a legitimate question was presented, it is ignored in favor of decade long complaints. Well, how did this year's Cowboys lose to Kansas City and San Francisco? A field goal score each game, and with an undependable kicker? Do a direct comparision and not to match stereotypes!

Three things that need to change from this year's team:

The offense needs to gain consistency...
The defense needs to take the next step...
Mike McCarthy and Kellen Moore need to learn how to rise to the occasion

Can we get a running list of the stupid decisions? It’s much longer than the draft picks mentioned.

I didn’t see Bobby Carpenter, or Taco Charlton on your list. Also I didn’t see the greatest trade in NFL WR Roy Williams either.

Here's a couple humdingers:

Passing up a trade offer of Antonio Cromartie(in his prime) for backup RB Tashard Choice.
Passing on a 2nd for Mike Jenkins. (He was a FA in next offseason, and we'd just acquired Carr and Mo.)
Passing on a 1st or 2nd for Marty Bennett.

Sorry Jason Garrett, Wade Phillips, Switzer, Campo, etc were terrible hires and he didn't learn from the JG coach in training experiment or he wouldn't have saddled McCarthy with Moore.

The buck stops with the GM and if they don't produce winners they would be fired.

He's built good rosters over the years. He's givin us travis frederick, tyron smith, zach martin, dlaw, micah parsons, tdiggs, sean lee, dak, zeke, all people that we have drafted just to name a few. Yes some dumb mistakes like not picking tj watt but for the most part he has did his part in building us a contending team. Now we just need a head coach that can take us over the top

He hires proxy yes men because he can’t stand to share the spotlight . He ran Jimmy out of town and Parcells left.
It his fault the teams ALWAYS underperform and are undisciplined .
