The real way to stop Moss is beat the hell out of him at the line. he weighs like 160 lbs so im sure Newman could beat him up all game, and he also has the speed to keep up with his deep ball. Next game we need to have Newman shadow Moss, and i dont think he'll do anything.

10 cent head I somewhat agree...........

Poor work ethic I disagree..............

Moss is actually a work out freak. He was part of Cris Carter's legendary off-season work-outs. He's never out of shape and has played in 125 out of 128 possible games in 8 regular seasons.

What could have been..........I believe he would have brought a swagger back to the Cowboys in 1998. His plays would have rejuvenated Troy. He would have opened the game up for Irvin and Emmitt.

What could have been...........atleast we've got Ellis. His next break out performance will be his 1st

Poor work ethic in the fact that he quits on plays, quits on games, etc.

He may go to Carter's off season workouts, but I don't think anyone will ever mistake his dedication to the game to be that of Rice or Irvin. I think if he committed himself to that level, he would probably be the greatest receiver the NFL has seen.

Instead, he smokes weed and runs over traffic cops....

He did not kill any of the teams that the raiders have played thus far he has 2 TD in 3 games sorry you can contain him. I'm not saying stop him but contain yes you can.

Dude he has these impressive numbers against teams that are considered very good at this time. Did you see any of the catches he's made in those games. The long run against the Patriots......... Rodney Harrison would have planted any other WR into the sideline on that juke. Beating triple coverage against the Chiefs. He's killing those secondaries and the players in film room know it.

There is no containing Moss, because even though his stats might not reflect a great game, his presense alone dictates the defensive schemes on every play. Only Lawrence Taylor and a few other have commanded that type of attention. If containing him means keep his stats down then you are only scratching the surface on the type of attention he requires. LT had some of his greatest games without registering a sack or tackle.

Our only hope is to keep him off the field my dominating time of possesion and making sure guys like Porter and Jordan etc don't get off. We could put Henry, Newman and roy Williams on Moss and he could still out jump, out run triple coverage.

I have seen all 3 raiders game I have seen all 3 raiders loss. Again I'm not saying shut him down I'm saying contain and that has happened he has 2 TD in 3 games, his yardage I could careless about that. Moss is a good player no doubt about it but he is not that damn good or the raiders would be 3-0 he is one man and he can be contained. Hell over the years the Bears have done a great job on him

Gotta love those mediots.........We all know that every otherplayer always goes 110%. Have you ever played football or a competitve sport at a high level...........

Doesn't bother me one bit so long as he produces.

It must be the jar head in me. I've seen guys sleep in fox holes when their lives depended on staying awake

Hahaha We all know that Irvin was perfect citizen. I wonder how dedicated he was when he was sitting in Dallas strip clubs doing coke with his boys.

Rice..........Can't argue with his dedication but I've seen some TO type temper tantrums that were swept under the rug by the mediots........chalked up to being a great leader and fired up.

None of these guys are perfect, but the mediots prefer to go after the guy with the rebel attitude.

Of course one man can't win a game. It takes a team........Marino would have had a couple of SuperBowls if it only took one man.

Moss will always affect a game one way or the other.

I think we've got a great chance to win if we run the ball thus dominating TOP and shut Porter, Jordan etc down.

Irvin had more off the field problems than moss, but Irvin never gives up during a live game, and Irvin isnt scared to go over the middle or catch it in traffic. If you get a big hit on Moss, odds are he's going to have a bad second half, even if he gets 100 yards 1 td its probably going to be in the first half, and not in crunch time, because the guy is notorious for quitting at the end of the game if hes double teamed. dont believe me, check every game this year, ive seen em all, and Moss has done the same thing in all 3 games.

I don't disagree with that and I do respect Moss's ability but sorry I have seen teams contain Moss and in the playoffs have seen Moss taken out of games. Guys like Rice and Irvin where at their best in the big game Moss has not been dominate in those situations. I'm not even saying that Moss won't rip us a new one in this game only that yes it is possible to frustrate Moss and take him out of a game

Irvin always seemed to have the support of teammates that has not been the case with Moss. Moss had gotten to the point that he was hacking off teammates and that is the biggest difference. Dallas players always knew Mike was going to do what ever he could to help the team and I don't think Moss's teammates felt that way about him. Bottom line it does not matter what fans or the media think , it does matter when if effects your teammates

I agree Moss has been taken out of game by defensive schemes.........it's his teammates duty to exploit other areas. Here are Moss's post season stats. He's scored 9TDs in 8 play-off appearances. The most recent performance is what stick in your mind, but he's been very productive in his role, but as the Vikings played better teams they were able to live Moss production and were talented enough to shut down the secondary options.

I think we'll win because Julius is due for a break out game. The Raiders front seven is in for a long day. They be sucking wind running sideline to side line. I think Parcells will implement the short pasing game to the TE and RBs with hope of getting their front seven running around.

I can't help it. I've seen both sides of the coin.

I've seen the media characterize him as poor character walking off the field or taking plays off or getting into arguemnts with traffice cops, but I've also read articles and seen videos of Moss handing a ball to a child in wheel chair in the endzoen after scoring a TD or spending time with cancer ridden children or donating money to his high school and childhood neighborhood.

Then again football is so important it really shows a persons true character...............

It does not matter what the media think or fans think but Moss has p!ssed off teammates and that does matter and that is why Moss was moved out of Minn and the reason TO was moved out of San Fran. When a players action cause trouble within the team then that is a problem.

We'll see how that turns out for Minnesota. We'll see what price the Vikings have to pay for tradinh a HOF player in his prime. Only time will tell.

So far Terrell won that battle. The 49ers are mediocre and TO has been to the SuperBowl and is the primary target on the defending NFC East champions. plus he got $10 million SB. He's paid and winning :lmao2:

Culpepper is nursing the worst passer rating of his caeer. He's sitting on 3TDs and 8Ints to date. Moss is producing as usual and Kerry Collins has his best passer rating in his 10 year career.

Its simple math bro 1+1 = 3 :lmao2:

I don't see the Raiders doing any better right now. Myself I don't want players on my team that cause problems on the team, not talking so much about off the field but problems within the team itself.

I don't see any team doing much better if they don't assemble a good team from QB to kicker.

Moss's problems were with the front office guy moreso than the coaches and team. Any player that doesn't want to play with Moss should be shot. I bet Nate Burleson is wishing for Moss.
