How to stop Moss 101

Step #1 Put Roy Williams on field
Step #2 Have Roy Williams lay Moss's skinny butt out
Step #3 Cart Moss off field

I don't see any team doing much better if they don't assemble a good team from QB to kicker.

Moss's problems were with the front office guy moreso than the coaches and team. Any player that doesn't want to play with Moss should be shot. I bet Nate Burleson is wishing for Moss.

Not true many of the Vike players were having issue with Moss. We will also see what happens if the Raiders continue to struggle. Easy to be a team guy when things are going good, it is when things start to go south where you see the true character of a player. As for player being shot for not wanting to play with an Ars hole who says he plays when he feels like it? He is lucky this is not football in the 60's or 70's because his teammates would be stomping his ars in the locker room for dumb ars statements like that.

You have to throw various looks at Moss and Collins or else they will eat us alive. Moss is just too good for any one type of coverage all game.

I do think you need to JAM HIM BIGTIME regardless of coverage we play. Sometime zone with CB or LB (yes, athletic LB that can put a good lick on him before he release) and S; sometimes double coverage etc. Regardless of scheme, you need to keep him in front of you and make sure and punishing tackles.

Hopefully, we get a decent passrush and make Collins make some bad throws.

Stopping Randy Moss is going to be a difficult task. I think you'd have a Better time ...

Slowing Moss down, because he's going to get some percentage of receptions anyway. Limiting Moss's reception rate is probably a more practical task.

Checking him within the allowable 5-yards to keep him off rythmn regulated routes is another method of reducing his receptions

Double coverage to say the least

And I think someone already mentioned Roy Williams to check coverage for routes across the middle.

Note: Too much focus on Moss will open Up the field for Jerry Porter and give credence to LaMont Jordan's running game.

Question: Is the Dallas Defense (specifically the secondary) able to hold the
Oakland Raiders from obtaining good field position?

Good Hunting.

Please in the 60's or 70's those guys were playing for mortgages .......not rims on their bentleys.

They'd take Moss production and treat him like a demigod to keep him happy and wouldplay their butts of to get more money in the play-offs. Moss is the talent equivalent to Sayers. He dominates.........

Football teams aren't churh choirs. Most teammates have issues with each other. Their isn't perfect harmony in all football teams. I like the imaginary scenario trumpeted up by fans and mediots that good teams have guys sitting around a camp fire singing kumbaya.

These guys are professionals. They don't have to goody goody. There is only one player that had the muscle to get Moss out of town and that was Culpepper. He has unequivocally stated that he didn't want Moss to go but the guys up stairs made a decision. His ego makes him believe he can get the job done without Moss.............. we'll see. So far 64 passer rating. Those 6ft targets look pretty small out there.

I'm not talking about being goody goody but when a player becomes a distraction in the locker room then it is time for him to go. He may fit in well with the raiders but so far him being on their team has not been a great improvement for them as so many were claiming at the start of the season

I really don't think Moss will do much Sunday if Kerry Collins continues to struggle, he only has a 4-14 record as a starter with them. Just pressure Collins and he'll wilt. Take him out of his game and you take Moss out of his game.
