Storm warning vs Giants

OP moans and whines about not being as good as the giants and presents two games as evidence. Those opinions suck and they aren't true. We match up as good as anyone against the giants and have a more than good chance to beat them. Some folks are just so negative.

Come on man! He's not moaning/ whining ,,,the O.P. is merely dropping a couple live rounds in the proverbial burn barrel ,bro!
He's laying out possibles and reading the pulse,,,o_O

Exactly.

First game, Beasley catches a walk in touchdown. We likely win.

Second game, Odell doesn't go for 60+ on a TD. We likely win

Also the first Giants game was Zeke's first start in the NFL and he clearly hit the hole too fast (like he did at OSU) instead of waiting for his blocks to develop. He had 51 yards rushing in that game. He averaged 2.6 yards per carry in that game in a season where he averaged 5.1.

This game he won't be inexperienced, he will be ready and likely have a chip on his shoulder over Mara's role in the suspension.

Quite the opposite.

- Beckham either won't play or, if he does, won't be even close to 100%
- The Giants offensive line is horrible and their offense could finish the season in the bottom third
- The Giants' defense is still stout but with Elliott playing and a healthy Dez we have too many weapons
- The betting line has been inching up all week

Cowboys 28 Giants 9

We lost to the Giants by 1 and 3 points.

That's not a team having our number. That's two games that could have easily gone our way

Giant fans are talking stupid saying they have our number. Lol, like you said 1 and 3 point victories that could have gone either way. Before last year we had beaten them 5 straight. Giants are way over rated and come Sunday they will be exposed. All the Giant love will go away, and there super bowl aspirations will take a dip. I can't wait to read their forum after they lose to us, as they will be whining all week.

"Zak Prescott is a very mediocre passer"

(btw, more Giant fans stick up for Dak and what he did as a rookie than those who don't think he's all that. lol.)

- He can complete passes when he has an airtight pocket and throws to wide open receivers but struggles with longer passes when the receiver is defended

He benefits greatly from the running game to keep him upright.

- I just never saw the hype around Dak. I never saw glimpses of greatness that warrented all of the praise. Did he perform well as a rookie, for sure, but its hard not to behind a line that can give you all day to sit in a pocket and a back like elliot who's a beast. The games I watched of Dak was jut a mediocre game manager who struggled to through the ball deeper than 10 yards. Maybe he'll prove me wrong, I doubt it.

- I have to say i too believe he has been way overhyped and that Dallas did an immaculate job, by way of their personnel ie OL, hiding his warts bc he does have them.

- I've been saying it since last yr. He lucked out by being drafted by a team with the best OL in the game & having 1 of the best RBs to hand the ball off to. Does anyone really think he would have had the yr he did if he had been drafted by the Jets or the Browns? He was a very mediocre QB when the Giants & Vikings limited his run game.

- He deserves credit for not messing up. Worst QB in the league when it was 3rd and long. The Cowboys offense was built on ground game and killing the clock. A perfect offense for a rookie quarterback.
Hes not as good as people think, and not as bad as people think.

- I bet Weeden would have had a great yr behind that OL last yr & handing off to the Ewok.

- With that OL & run game, Eli would have passed for 5000yds & 45 TDs. Like I said, let's see where he's at 5yrs from now.

The key will be defensively sticking to a good plan of attack.

There are 2 options..

A - Put pressure on Eli
or
B - 3 down DL and 8 back in coverage.... how KC defended NE.

Considering how the Giants attack with a quick 3 step release because they know their OL sucks, if you go with option A,,, stick with that the entire game.
Don't give up if we cant put pressure on him early, and our pass rush is not getting to him early, we will loose that battle by points alone.

If we go into this game believing that no matter how much heat we try and bring that it will be ineffective because Eli gets the ball out so quick, and decide from the get go that we will rely on our sub packages to control the air assault, might be the better option since we don't really know where this pass rush is at this point, has it improved?

I'm believing the pass rush has, but playing chess against this rival might not be advantageous,, trying to discover success may not be as beneficial as coming in with a strict game plan from the beginning of the game, and sticking to it.

The gamer in me wants to go after Eli all night, and plant him in the ground, but the realist in me just wants to come away with a win.

You should all be hoping Beckham plays. He will be 19 days removed from an injury that takes a minimum of 4 weeks to appropriately heal even for a high level athlete.

If he plays, he'll be a decoy and NY will be playing 10 on 11. Pray they're that stupid.

OBJ is the highest level drama queen that walks this planet... he is not that hurt, but he wants everyone to think he is,,, hero either way, its what extreme drama queens do best.

And all the running he did at Giants practice on the sideline was just straight running. He hasn't done any cutting while running. Which is the true test for his injury. If he is gonna play, other than his straight down field routes, he is gonna have to cut at some point.

This always cracks me up. "Perform well"? As a rookie no one has ever, among the gazillions of QBs to play, played as well as Dak.
And even if you think it's all Zeke and the OL, we still have Zeke and the OL, so he should be just as good, no?

He has a partial interosseus ligament tear on imaging. Unless the team doctors are lying, you can't fake that.

Eli is a poor passer under pressure numerically. That's really more about him being masterful at avoiding sacks by throwing uncatchable balls. He's got a very quick release and he likely throws more balls away than anyone.

If we can pressure him into several throw aways, those plays are almost as good as a sack. He's not a QB who is going to get drilled repeatedly.

Folks on this board are likely the moan about pass rush if we don't get any sacks in this game but Eli just doesn't take many. Only 21 last year - with a terrible OL.

OK, now we are talking, and if what you are saying is valid, than he has an issue. Problem is that what you are saying is the first time that I have read that, maybe I haven't been paying as close attention as I thought,, can you provide a link?
