I keep answering this. Bledsoe outplayed him in the pre-season. In my opinion by a lot. Why is that so hard for you to accept? I get it that you disagree. Fine, disagree. It doesn't insult me.

Hey Hos, Noticed that of the 276 votes in the poll your name is not on the list. I consider this the line in the sand poll that determines what direction cowboy fans think the team needs to go. What say ye declare a position. We will see by year-end what was the right/wrong direction.

You cant win in this league with max protect every single passing play. It's bad enough he can't scramble downfield, but he can't move east-west either or just sidestep a rush. That's the killer.

Well, I'm off to eat dinner and go to bed.

Hos, I enjoyed the debate and hope there's no hard feelings. I get a little heated after a loss like this.

I don't want you to think that this was a knee-jerk reaction, though. As you've probably seen, I've been a Romo fan for a long time. I don't think I was on this board last off-season (and pre-season), but I've been very interested in him since then. I've thought for a long time that Bledsoe is simply a bum. He's as inconsistent as a rookie. All the advantages of a veteran QB are lost on him. Still, I was an apologist for his deficiencies because he was a Cowboy. If a bus driver is what you want, I can understand that. However, a bus driver is required to not make mistakes. Bledsoe, even given time, cannot keep from making those mistakes.

I agree 100%! The team may not have played great, but we were still in position to win this game up until the last 10 secs. But it was Bledsoe's INT's, fumbles, poor passes, lack of mobility and holding on to the ball to long that ultimatley did us in today. Don't get me wrong. I am not letting McrBriar, RW and Pat Watkins off the hook but this game came down to DB's bad play.

I really don't think Romo could have done much worse today even with the expected rookie mistakes. I think it is time to look to the future and see what Romo has to offer.

Who do you think put us in that position?

Let me guess...the refs?

Didn't even know a poll had been added. Thanks.

I won't be shocked if Romo is starting soon.
Parcells has already said he will play this year.
This isn't '04 with Vinny T. At that time Parcells knew he was going to coach for a few more years. He could afford to take a shot with an old vet that season.
Now he knows this is probably his last year.
He is stubborn but he isn't stupid and he sees all the unforced errors Bledsoe makes. He is intelligent enough to know that this team will go nowhere with a QB, who should know better, continuing to make those errors.
Not sure what some of you are thinking by believing Bledsoe should continue to get the majority of the snaps. Even the blind are laughing at the idea.

Of course not. I enjoyed it.

Iwould say JJ, good field position and our defense sans 3 plays kept us in the game.

I voted Romo. Its clear that Drew cant get it done... never could... so once again a 2ns stringer is gonna take his job

Drew hurts the Oline play
Drew makes the Blitz successful just about everytime... atleast they wont always know where to find QB if Romo is back

I say get Romo ready for rematch on Xmas day... I hope he can manage games better than Drew

LOL!

No, it was a great pass to Glenn that was interfered with that gave us first and goal and a chance to tie.

Oh wait, that means it was Bledsoe that gave us a chance to tie the game....my bad.

I think I would rather draft a highly rated QB coming out of college.

Then again, we gotta use our draft picks on LB's who can't make the team.

ROMO !!!!

Bledsoe cant move, but add to that he cant decide either, so he needs 3 x as much time as any qb, and he cant avoid rush

He wouldnt of even had to make that throw if he didnt take 5 minutes to throw the ball and get sacked

I think Crayton would be a better option at QB than deadslow.

Man, I don't know. Crayton sometimes appears to have feet of stone on punt returns. Kind of the punt returning equivalent of Bledsoe.

Faulty rationale to continue starting Bledsoe (imo :) )

1 - Bledsoe beat out Romo in preseason. No, by virtue of having a nice preseason, which Romo also had, the champ won a decision. The challenger has to knock him out.

2 - Romo has never thrown an NFL pass. Ok, that is true. But I guess that will always be the case as long as Bledsoe remains the starter. Yes, Romo will make mistakes, but I honestly find it hard to believe they will be significantly greater than the mistakes vet Bledsoe continues to make.

3 - If you make the move to Romo you cannot go back to Drew. BALONEY! Quit buying tired old invalid rationales. This is a rationale for hand-wringers imo. Thats what having options is all about. Compete, play who you think is best. If that needs to change, do it. Quit thinking these decisions are somehow eternal.

There wasn't enough time left and no timeouts to stop the clock...he had to make that throw sooner or later....regardless of the sacks beforehand.
