I'd do it for the right player, but it better be a Bobby Wagner or Fletcher Cox type of young talent.

Collins should not be traded - healthy

Leary yes - knee problems

I would not take anyone off table when in regards to a trade. For Lael, I'd have to get a double digit sack guy in return. Lael has a great contract and great potential so I think he would command great trade value.

I don't think I'd be a fan of trading Collins away
Me neither. Id rather give a shot to young dline than take away a positive in Collins. In his little time playing last year he was unbelievable.

Seattle has a need at offensive guard. They have depth at the position, DE. And a Collin for Michael Bennett trade would negate the need to tack on a draft pick as well. Both teams would benefit...and leave the door open to also pick up the likes of Freeney. That would be a coup set of moves from the start...and allow for intense competition, flexability, and youth develop at the same time.

A transition would be in place also...

About as bad a trade as you can get

Trade an all pro player just starting his career for a 30 year old malcontent on the back end of his career looking for a payday

Unbelievable

I wanted to trade Collins to move up and get one of the quarterbacks in the draft. My reasoning was pretty simple. You sign a first-round talent on a total freebie that cost you nothing. If you then turn around and trade him for a 15-year elite quarterback, it would be completely worth it.

But there's no way I would trade him to fill an immediate need for a pass rusher so that we can win now. Especially when you may still want/need to trade him for a quarterback at some future point.

All so that Tony Romo can go down in the third game and ruin the season.

First of all, consider this is from the rag USA Today.

Second, why trade Collins, and then have Leary play. This makes no sense if from a future salary cap hit. Because of needing to pay all the OL?

Collins has 2 years left on his contract, and Leary will be a FA. So wouldn't you rather give Collins that money. As opposed to possibly not having either next year, plus free will need to be replaced soon also.

As to win now consideration. That don't work either, it hasn't in the past, nor will it now. See what they have in TC first. But who out there could possibly come in that is proven more than a need to protect the franchise...if Romo is not protected, not even the 4 best DL in the league will help this team win.

Now if they would want to trade Leary, another players, or Leary and a little bit of a high draft pick, like a 2nd [as our 2nd rounders don't ever seem to work well anyway], to SD for Bosa, I am in.

I'm a huge Collins fan as well..I think we will lose any trade involving him

However, if we can't afford to keep him after 2017...why not trade him and maximize his value and try and get something in return?

Is this team really going to pay 4 OL top dollar? If the answer is no...I'd rather trade him now than let him walk after 2017 for free

I can't see the Cowboys having that big press conference for Lael last year and saying all the things he did about Laels mom just to trade him a year later.

While our FO is dumb...I don't think they are scared of this

This is flat out stupid. Collins commands too much in return. The only way he is traded is for an equivalent player on the Dline. Salary, age and ceiling will make that very difficult to find. Also the tendency of teams to keep thier own home grown talent is a huge factor. I cant see this happening.

Kalil Mack or Von Miller.
Other than that I don't even consider trading Collins. We need him blowing open running lanes for Zeke.
