I would like to know who was some of the strongest armed QBs, you ever seen play.

I just going by arm strength with the QB, nothing else at this point my top five QBs, in this category I've seen play are: 1. Brett Farve, 2. Drew Bledsoe, 3. Randall Cunningham, 4. Jeff George, 5. Vinny Testaverde (a younger Vinny, of course.

That is my top 5, who had some of the strongest arms I've seen play who is your top 5.

Definitley Elway.
Also Roman Gabrial could throw it a mile.
I've read that David Garrard can sling it 75-80 yards....sat on his knees at midfield and threw it over the goal posts.

No Elway?
Yeah he had a very strong arm, also.

But it would've been an injustice if I would've put him in the top five I had because with exception of Farve, he was better than George, Testaverde, Bledsoe, and Cunningham.

Kyle Boller did that also so I wouldn't really use that as an example. :laugh2:

If so, then Kyle can go on the list. Nobody said anything abouyt being accurate or being a great QB. Drunkenmiller is another one.

Elway would be my #1

And where is Brad Johnson? :D
I was too young to remember Clint Longley, who backed up Staubach, but they say he had a cannon also.

I would say Aikman's arm was in the 80 percentile and his accuracy was in the 99 percentile.

While Aikman, had a strong arm, he wasn't know for sling it 80 yard on a rope down field.

Now for the most accurate Aikman, is definitely a top 5 QB, in that department.

As for Bledsoe, he had that same cannon arm here with Dallas.

In his rookie year I saw Jay Cutler sling one about 70 yds on rope. That kid has a cannon.

What is a strong arm?

Elway probably could throw the ball the furthest and the hardest, but I am not sure it was just pure arm strength. He had a big wind up and great lower leg drive. It was like a full body pass on just about every throw. He always looked liked a baseball pitcher on every throw. I think he would stride into his throws more than any other QB I have watched.

Marino just seemed to whip out there with nothing, but his wrist. He obviously used his legs, too, but he seemed to be able to generate a lot with just his arms.

Favre seemed to be able to throw it with nothing, but arm at times. He could be falling backwards with his legs tied up and still zip it down field.

I know Vinny and Randall could both throw it 70 yards down field, but neither really looked like they had zip on some of their throws. When I watched them throw deep outs the ball seemed to float out to the receivers.

Namath, too, had a gun. Ditto Warren Moon.
I never seen Fouts play, but I did see Moon play, and he too had a strong arm.
