Been to combat and fired a weapon at other human beings
Been to Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Dubai
Flown in a helicoptor in a combat zone
Played college football for three years
Lived in Europe for seven years
Attended a World Cup game
Attended the 50th anniversary of D-Day at Normandy



Stuff I Have Never Done That Many People Have

Gone to a Cowboys game in Dallas
Been to a MLB or NBA game
Visited the west coast
Visited Vegas
Gone skydiving or hang gliding

Ridden a motorcycle at 180 mph
flown in a WWII P-51 Mustang
Been to 46 states
Met Tony Dorsett, but couldn't get a word out.
Sat next to Romo and Jessica at Buffalo Wild Wings
Got treated like scum by Michael Irvin
Snow Ski'd at over 70mph
Snorkled in Stingray Alley in Belize
Put a engine in a car all by myself and got it running (I was 16)
Had emmitt smith hit on my wife.

Parachute out of a plane
scuba the great barrier reef

please tell me about how you were treated by Irvin. he seems like a nice down to earth dude...
I witnessed friends of mine getting treated poorly by Emmitt Smith and that shocked me.

1)...saved drowning persons back-to-back
2)...surfed (and tubed!) in costa rica
3)...caught an 18 ft hammerhead
4)...dunked on an 6'6 NFL lineman
5)...got swatted to floor (and nose bloodied) by same NFL lineman
6)...Hit for the cycle twice in same season in HS
7)...Buried my best friend
8)...Had a car accident with the arresting officer's wife's driving the other car
9)...Played on same court as M Jordan and James Worthy….and later TO…lol
10)..Attended each of : Final Four, BCS Bowl game, a Super Bowl, an NBA Finals, a World Series, and a World Cup.
11)..Mapped oil fields in more than 20 countries.

Stuff I haven't done

1)...Sky diving…maybe someday
2)...Bungee jumping…maybe someday
3)...Slept with same gender…no plans for that one
4)...Cheated on Spouse...no plans there either
4)...Tattoo or piercing…no thanks
5)...Had the flu as an adult…ya never know
6)...Been to a Texas HS football game…plan to do so this year..embarrassing
7)...Watched a full series of "Star Search" or similar…probably won't happen
8)...Seen a Michael Moore movie…but may see "Bowling.." someday
9)...Been to a Cowboy training camp
10)..Ridden a Rodeo quality bull....oops, I bet not so many have done that one....so not alone there.
11)..Been to an Arena football game

True Story..........

I was at lunch with some buddies at Hooters (in downtown dallas), this was about 10 years ago or so. Michael Irvin walks in with a couple of bodyguards. Sits down not far from us. Then he gets up, and he's going to the restroom. I was seated close to the aisle so he had to walk right passed me. We made eye contact, and I said to him "Hi Mike"......kind of in a passer by way, not trying to get him or stop or anything, just a freindly nod of the head or smile, or a "hi" back would have been all my commented warranted.

Instead he looked at me like I was so far beneath him, I didn't even warrant speaking too. Like I was the elephant boy or something. My buddies immedietely laughed at me because of how he dissed me.

Ok I thought, I'll get even with that jerk. So I took about 8 packets of nutri sweet off the table and poured them out onto the table, then took my knife and made "cocaine lines" out of them. When he walked by me again I said "hey mike, i got something for you"...........

He never even looked at me though. I guess this time I wasn't even worthy of a "look".

We talked to our waitress about him, and she said he comes in all the time and none of the girls want to serve him because he never feels like he should pay, and has never tipped any of the girls (her story, not mine).


The Emmitt story.....not much to tell really...... in a bar on McKinney, and he walks in, after a while the girl I was dating went up to him to say hi, and she was a fan. He sits down with her and talks a while. Then she says she was going to go back to our table, and he stopped her and said "don't leave, hang out with me a while". So she did. She was probably at his table for 20 minutes or so. He seemed really cocky (yes, I would be too), but my wife said he was super nice.

BTW, I think the list for things you have not done are for things a ton of other people have done, but you have not.

Been the first vehicle behind a truck that killed a 12 year old on a bike.
More cocaine than I should have. Lost all my teeth.
Own my own business and had one year when I cleared over $500,000.00
Been to every Vegas NASCAR race since they started racing there.
Lost all three of my bestest friends in less than 2 years in death.
Lived in NY City.
Live in Hawaii.
Made 2nd team All-State in H.S. Football (then flamed-out from there).
Boxed in 18 professional bouts (then flamed-out from there too).
Was an "open" raquetball player in my early/mid 20's.
Gotten three tattoos in my 40's.
Almost died at sea (got knocked unconcious while body surfing).
Became a Bible-teacher and marriage counselor.
Saw and held my three kids before my wife did (C-Sections, she was out of it).
Caught a Marlin/Sword Fish (not a huge one, but a Marlin none-the-less).


NEVER DONE:

Hit a woman.
Got a piercing or an earing.
Any other drug besides pot or cocaine.
Learned to play an instrument.
Learned to speak another language.
Traveled outside of the U.S.
Spoke to my dad the last three years of his life (he became insolvent mentally)
Seen my three nephews in person (who are now 20 and 18 yr. old twins).
Hit any of my kids (but there might be a day coming!).
Cheated on a woman.
Cursed God for anything that has ever gone wrong.
Won in Vegas.
Stopped kicking and screaming and scratching and swearing and fighting and pushing and pulling and crawling and running and.............you get the point!
