Y’all do this every time. This is how this will go.

Pet cat over performs in preseason.
Doesn’t make team because he’s not good enough.
Fans freak out.
Guy gets picked up.
Fans rue.
Guy gets picked up.
We never hear from him again.
Gets cut.
Available and no one picks him up and is out of the league.

Colts didn't think so.
Colts kept 5 TEs on their roster on one on short term IR. Not sure we should take their position on anything the way that organization has crumbled since Luck retired. I've never been a fan of whinny football players under contract and the whole Taylor debacle showcases just how bad this entire organization is managed. JJ and company are lightyears ahead of this group.

Why is the FO always incompetent when a player is cut or extended when a fan does not agree? Yet the FO consistently finds quality players in the draft, FAs, and UDFAs? If they were truly incompetent then they would not be able to do any of that.
EXACTLY!!!!! Too many folks on here believe their opinions of players on this team or others matter more than those folks employed by the NFL (form the league execs to the low-level scouts). It's becoming sadly comical.

I would have liked to have kept land but Im not sure who he replaces. I like Luepke also. Junior Fehoko maybe? nashan wright? as thin as we are at corner i dont recommend that so I gues as mentioned earlier we should be able to find another Land next year

Sure, we lost a UDFA. But on the bright side, we traded for a third year QB who still looks like a UDFA, so in a way it all evens out.

No excuse for this other than incompetence by the FO. I understand he likely would be inactive in game days THIS year. Look ahead a year. Armstrong a free agent, Fowler a free agent, hopefully Sam isn’t suspended or something and who knows how much longer Lawrence is going to play. Such a bad decision.
Obviously the actual coaching staff thinks differently. What are your qualifications to make these decisions? Are you a GM or coach. I think not. Keep your day job

Two ways to look at everything.

Agree it's ridiculous to get bent out of shape about Land, no matter what your opinion of his talent and usefulness.

But also ridiculous to tell OP to shut up and enjoy his team. What's the point of a message board? Seen far worse takes than that.

They thought they were smart and lost Ridgeway last year.
Obviously no team is 100% on their evaluations and all have to make tough decisions, which can lead to good players being let go. It is a numbers game in many ways (e.g position group, overall roster, financial, etc).
