I agree. Putting Lewis on PUP was a no brainer decision. Would have opened up a slot and bought some time. Gallimore also??? The only thing I can think is they picked Harper over him. Looks from the outside as a mistake.

I agree. Putting Lewis on PUP was a no brainer decision.

Disagree. With the CB depth & Lewis already practicing, it is far more available then stashing an undersized edge who wont see he field.

He went undrafted and has a thin frame for playing on the edge and was truly a bubble player from the moment he arrived. There were probably 2-3 guys you could have argued about cutting in place of, but hard to beat up the front office over the 51st to 53rd player. Lot of deserving guys that made this cut down difficult. I would have liked to retain him and maybe they get another shot at doing so later in the season.

If I remember right, he playing in 1-2 games and was a ghost. Even in preseason, I don’t remember it translating well.

Lewis isn’t even practicing yet. I think when he comes back he is the 4th maybe 5th CB. This is his last year on the team. Carries a decent cap hit. Can never have enough pass rushers. Land was worth keeping around. That said I am not too twisted about it.
