For a defense that wasn't on the field very long, I am still perplexed that Wilcox was subbed in for Jones as much as he was. They claimed it happened to keep the DBs fresh but was that really a concern when your defense wasn't on the field very long?

6 blockers on 6 in the box - and nobody...not a single player, won against the block.

Shame on the players for not being able to shed their blocks and get tossed like rag dolls.

Shame on the coaching staff for playing so conservative in the secondary/not adding at least ONE player into the box.

Man, that was depressing. Collins looked like a kid in those two plays, Hichens looked like his younger friend, and Crawford appears overrated.

****. Hope they get this fixed but, as Bob said now I see why the staff loves to put up with Ro's crap. It appears we need him. We need more than one good lb.

Between Marinelli's squirrely calls at times and some talent issues, I can't see how it's get fixed this year. This offense is going to have to be more efficient going forward and just hope the defense can somehow limit RZ TDs and get lucky with turnovers.

Maybe Marinelli isn't really the great defensive guru we were all lead to believe? Maybe his rep originated from his days at Tampa under Kiffin and those great players they had? His record at Detroit was horrible. When Chicago hired him, the defense was good, but not top 10 overwhelming. So far in Dallas, very bad. My caution light is flashing bright yellow on Marinelli.

WHAT!?

That's what they said?

That's freakin' ridicules. Did Woody take plays off at safety? Roy? Charlie Waters - Cliff Harris?

In fact, I have never heard of a safety getting spelled. I can't believe they said that. Wilcox made one good play on the third down stop because it was a straight on tackle. If there was any angle involved at all he would've whiffed.

I wish I hadn't of read this. It's disgraceful and an indictment on the coaches.

I said this right after we drafted, but Maliek Collins is a situational DT meant to play the 3-tech on obvious passing downs to penetrate and get up field. I can show you clip after clip of him being washed out across the line at Nebraska; he's not a guy that's going to hold the line and control his gap.

Marinelli probably thinks he can teach him to hold the point of attack and not get blasted into the LB level.

Both coaching and players blew that final drive. Bad personal, bad calls and bad execution. A double A gap run blitz with Jones on the slot WR would have been a solid call.

Said it last week and will keep saying it. Worst front 7 since 89 or 90.

People complain about Garrett for offense and play calling but the real issue that should have already or could in the future be a reason for firing him is who he has hired to run his defenses.

Rob Ryan and Monte Kiffin/Rod Marinelli. The whole league knows these are guys who are not any good at getting results on defense, have problems with scheme and do not teach their players well. Marinelli's career is great and he is a great line coach but here in Dallas he is the coordinator and seemingly the head personnel man for defense.

they have followed his every word about what types of players they need to run his scheme and its a train wreck. In every way shape and form its a train wreck.

All this from the staff that wouldn't even consider Todd Bowles for a Defensive coordinator position. its nuts.

We have gone from Slow and powerful, to Little faster and powerful under wade to Slow, weak and small under marinelli.

I will never understand why they are so adverse to size on defense.

Emmitts currently on 103.3 saying the Cowboys didn't use Zeke in the most optimal way either.

Maybe this is the year we finally get rid of these coaches.. Romo may save their job again but man i'd love to switch. The problem is JErry will probably just hire another buddy and not a real coach.
