The assumption that we will most likely be set if we go QB at 4 is flawed thinking. There are other ways to obtain talent far less risky than using a resource like that high of a draft pick.

What exactly is the process of finding a top QB if you don't draft one? If the scouts have one if these QBs rated high, you have to take him. The stats on elite QBs not taken in the first round proves my point. If the team is scared of their scouting and consider it a gamble to trust their scouts , the whole bunch needs fired. You can not build a team if you are scared.

I don't get people. Stop reading so much into this
  • A clavicle plate is a better option for an athlete, as the metal plate reinforces the previous broken part of the collar bone.
  • The recovery isn't a factor as the draft isn't for months, let alone the training camp
Why does it have to be that Romo's body is combusting?

Well, it's been over 3 months since he re-injured his collar bone. I think the fact that there still isn't a decided route to address the problem is a bit concerning.

He's missed one game total because of his "chronic bad back". He hasn't missed any games at all because of his "chronic bad back" since he started taking Wednesdays off and he also has the highest passer rating in the NFL over the same time period. Pull the other lever.

But why does he need to Romo Wednesdays?

In the week leading up to the Miami game last year (his first back after injury) he had the Wednesday off.

At this point he’d been off for two months, so you’d think he try to get all the practice he could to shake off as much rust as possible.

Yet he still needed the Wednesday off.

That doesn’t strike you as a concern going forward?

Add to the fact that in last two thanksgiving games after a short week he’s looked crap.

Again not a worry?

Tony is play to play. I cringe every time he gets hit. And I have typed that sentence before. " I cringe every time he gets hit", when we decided to replace Murray with Randle, and that was last year.

We need a QB. Now. And , I am sorry, getting RGMe does not "solidy" the QB position. He is a Pipe dream.

At the USAFA, I had a cracked elbow and continued playing for the season. They put my elbow in a cast, after the season was over...

And what does that have to do with Romo's ability to play at the required level in the NFL?

The key part there is the scouts. Many people have suggested that we have to take a QB because we are this high and you don't get this chance often. But what if the scouts say the QBs aren't rated that high?

QBs do not become better because they are taken higher in the draft, QBs are supposed to be taken high because they are good (and the most important position.

Follow the directions discussed once in a while...Romo is tough and DOES answer the bell.

As usual you can't answer the question about why Romo needed the Wednesday off before the Miami game and instead drivel on about his toughness.

Well if he's so tough why didn't he just play through the broken collarbone?

If you don't want a real discussion...ask someone else these pointless run ons.

There is more to a Cowboys discussion than a Cherry picked back drop of someone wants Romo replaced...yesterday. Reason, he got injured and doesn't have a Lombardi. Fail!

If Sturm is right, Romo will become the first QB in NFL history to have to retire due to collar bone injuries.

Bull. Aaron Rodgers broke his collar bone. Josh McCown broke his. Lots and lots of quarterbacks have.

The bone needs to be fully healed, and reinforcement is a good idea if it will work. Otherwise, this isn't nearly as serious as the neck injury Peyton returned from, the things Montana played with, and countless others.

The truly injury prone player is Dez Bryant. Nobody is talking about his imminent demise.
