You just glossed over my post to fit your, "I love Miles Austin Fan Club Agenda."
The top WR's have 1,200+ Yds, more TD's, etc...
Taking over a game is imaginary? So when Flacco and Jones continually connected on deep balls and scored TD's throughout the playoffs and eventually the Super Bowl, that was imaginarily taking over the game?
A 2nd year rookie Julio Jones with 1,500 yds and 10 TD's is an example of earning a paycheck. An 8 yr vet struggling to make 900+ yds is overpaid my friend, dude needs to step it up or take a paycut soon.....
I didn't gloss over your post at all.. i addressed what you said, however silly it is.
You talk about Flacco and all the deep balls he tossed?
Guess what? Miles outproduced every single receiver on that team.
He was also in the top 25 receivers again last year.. which when you take out the TE's on that list, means he was outproduced by only 23 receivers in the NFL, not even every teams number 1 was better than him, and he was our number 2.
You simply don't know what you're talking about, is all it comes down to. You say he's not producing, but the numbers say otherwise. Just because he doesn't subjectively "take over games" in your mind, doesn't mean he's not a very effective weapon for us. Being the third option in the receiving game and still putting up 1000 yards is very very good, no matter how much you hate the guy.
His numbers last season, again as the third option in the receiving game for us, nearly mirrored those that he put up in 2010, when he was a first alternate and made the pro bowl.
Also, on a side note, i take it you're referencing Jacoby Jones in your "how to take over games" monologue? He of the 5 catches all postseason for them? He of the 30 catches and 400 yards all regular season? Oh yea, he def took over games for them. Teams gameplanned for him fur dayzzz. lol
Im not even a big Miles Austin fan.. just correcting bs when i see it, sir. Carry on..
