I have to ask this.

What is it that coaches on this team see in Jeff Heath that is so different to the rest of us who watch him? The quote about the team's feeling on him is almost incomprehensible. To me in just the eye test, he is a slower reacting athlete than other athletes on the same field. He looks outmanned physically and I don't see any instinctual ball skills that you could at least hang your hat on. I"m not talking about a play here or there, I'm talking about the body of work since he's been a Cowboy.

I would love to say how wrong I was but honestly, would any of you bet serious money that he could become an effective starter and is he really THAT much of a standout of special teams? What is it we are all missing?

Interesting write up, but I've never been a fan of sullivan.

Quick Hits:
The conflicting reports on Romo are really starting to get to me. LaCanfora just wrote an article about how Romo is clearly not the same, yet everything else I've read says the opposite. I guess we'll see pretty soon who is full of it.

If Justin Durant is the devensive camp mvp, we probably have bigger problems on our hands than many think.

It'll be interesting to see which of these secondary defensive linemen actually make the roster. That being said, literally explosive? How do these writers get these journalism jobs?

I'm very excited about the 2013 draft and what it means for our offense, have been since the draft happened. Glad to hear Escobar is taking the next step, I thought Linehan would be really good for his career.

On your points:
Yup
Yup
I know. Sports Journalism doesn't even need a degree anymore. Any blogger is doing it now and even the educated ones have dumbed down in the process.
Totally agree.

I don't play with my money.
Let's get real here...

Did I save a link from the draft weekend in May? No.

It might have been posted here because I know it was discussed at the time.
Remember those threads and really don't think it was ever posted here which is odd

What's funny is I said all that and I've probably given you more likes than anyone on this board since it became available.
Risen would be jealous- wondering what his like count could have been...

Booze, drugs, women, and Cowboy's gameday does it for me (not necessarily in that order) and I can't complain.
To each their own though... I guess.

Probably not in that order for sure...one of those is a real scarcity in West Hollywood. Should try Manhattan Beach

I left W Holly years ago friend.
Happily dodging cartel bullets in El Paso now.

And there's tons of hot women in WH- they're called ***-hags and they're usually looking for action from the few heteros around and of course trying to turn those playing the other side of the field- it's like a conquest.

Sigh, the lengths that some go through to defend those 4 rd "home run" draft picks.

It's amazing how some of you get so worked up every time something positive is said about the Cowboys. So what if Sully is a homer? It shouldn't bother any fan when good things are said about the team they claim to love. It's OK to NOT rain on the positive parade every chance you get.

The whole point of that comment was to speak to the idea that since the Seahawks and Ravens supposedly wanted him.

It was more theoretical. If Hitchens was so coveted, float his name out there. I bet the phone is not exploding.

Again why even make the call to trade him. We need all defensive help and unless you are in Jerry's office you have no idea if teams have called about Hitchens or any other player

You don't laugh.
You aren't even funny.

Yes- I am 39 and have been a fan for 36 years and in the Grand Scheme of Life:
The Dallas Football Cowboys are trivial.
They won't make me leave my woman.
They won't make me punch a wall and injure myself and:
I won't whine like a crybaby day after day after day after day about it.

I am a fan and I praise and disagree as I see fit.

You live on here blasting everything that happens.
This is more than a hobby for you buddy.
This is personal and you carry it on your sleeve.
You can't do this relentlessly without pause unless it strikes you to the core.

The difference to me is that the Cowboys actually are a hobby- not something I take personally. I can deal. You can't.
So keep complaining.
Day after day.
Keep souring every thread you come across.
Thread after thread.
It's your pleasure, not mine- but I read this board too and you make yourself quite public so I comment.

Have I lied?
I should post something that includes a hammer and a nail

No one can be fair minded and have so many negative things to say about the club not just post to post but year to year. There are always going to be positive and negative aspects about the club. They seem to miss the critical remarks the 'homers' make about the club but seldom if ever miss an opportunity to crap in the sandbox if people are having a good time. It makes you wonder exactly what agenda(s) they actually have.

Just take trans mountain up to the telescope, and put in your quarters...oh, and then go on down and dine at the Bella Napole.

Dyer is rambunctious enough, lol. But for easier identification, Los Falcones can be identified with a falcon in the back glass, and on the left index finger of the feathered hand is located a Z. That's for Zeta...I know this, because of a couple of these cars have been identified by the local police up here in Corpus Christi.

Back when I was in the 3rd ACR there, we called it 'Waters.' I was Soldier of the Year back then, and our last Five Star General, Omar Bradley, retired at William Beaumont. I was part of the assigned unit for an honor guard, while awaiting his passing.

I still like El Paso. Ever hear of JRR Arms? I have another story if you do...

I must apologize up front. I was a NCO for over 19 years. My first instinct is to bite off the head and pee down the nub...lol, I don't.

my introduction to the Corps: June 1977.

We got off the bus (Paris Island)

The Lance Corp lines us up in 3 lines 10 each.

This average sized guy walks up. Instinctively I tense up; something about him just makes the hair on the back of my head start to stand up straight.

He stops above 5 feet from me and slowly looks around. His eyes are dark and I feel like they have X Ray vision; plus something that would make the main battery on the Death Star look like a BB gun.

"ALL RIGHT YOU X%$%^&^^ MAGGOTS! YOUR SOUL MAY BELONG TO JESUS BUT YOUR *** IS MINE! DROP DOWN AND GIVE ME 20!"
