Except the kicker.

Our stable super genius football mind Owner/GM will right the ship!

Going to dumpster dive 3 to 5 times in Free agency. Stevie said they can go up to Vet min + free parking.
I adore that movie.

Some of these stats are wrong, but it is still a bad picture.

The Cowboys average the 9th most yards given up per game, 3rd in points allowed per game, and 7th in rushing yards per game. Hard to believe there are defenses that are worse, but sad to say there are.

No coach can win without players, and our defensive line is literally the worst in the NFL with the recent injuries... And it wasn't very good even without them.
Check what Quinn had his first season.

How do you figure this? Zimmer's defenses stunk so bad 20 years ago with Dallas that they broke shame records that still stand.

He's merely taking back up right where he left off. This is why you pay attention to a guy's results. Only an idiot would have hired Zimmer in 2024, and Jerry was the only one to even offer him a job in the NFL.

Just like only an idiot would have signed Zeke in 2024, and again, Jerry was the only one to offer him a job. There's a distinct pattern of results with Jerry.

When a guy proves he sucks, it's not going to change. That's why nothing changes with Jerry at GM, because he's proven conclusively that he sucks. That's also why the defense sucks under Zimmer. Zimmer as Cowboys DC has done nothing but produce crappy defense.
Zimmer always gave up a lot of yards but he never gave up a lot of points. He would let the end zone be his fourth and fifth defensive backs, and it worked out okay.

The Cowboys have a number of problems, but this is one of the worst defenses I can remember. Didn’t think the defense could get worse than what we saw with Mike Nolan. Our run defense is a total embarrassment.

Where do you start to fix some of these.....otherwise, they are going to get worse.

Summary of the problem was zero activity in Free Agency. Going into the draft with gapping holes forcing us to reach on players vs. drafting the best player available.

Exactly.......interestingly this was a free-agent priority in the past. Get the holes filled from free agents and have more flexibility in the draft.

the best of cowboys was the 70s. Did you see that?
Yes I did saw all of it and the late sixties too.

It was truly a privilege and you could hold your head high and be proud to be a Cowboys fan.

We were led by The Best of the Best Tom Landry and Captain America the men that represented everything that was good about sports.

Now we are led by money hungry individuals retread coaches and an owner with the morals of an alley cat.

The Mighty has fallen.
The sadness is... what it is.
And now we tread shallow waters of acrid stench in our hopes to find, what? For something we don't even know anymore if it's possible.
Maybe luck. Maybe something more, but we know in our hearts:
This is not our time.
Hopefully soon. Because that is all we have.

Sorry, I've been reading Frost.

Not where, when. You start in the offseason.
You want any chance in hades of fixing this? Start trading away assets that aren't going to be around anyway. There is no way to fix this w/ 4 players taking up 60% of the salary cap.

I may disagree w/ some of this, but one thing we agree on wholeheartedly. Zimmer is not the answer.

The problem with the Cowboys is they missed their window with this team after 2021. The Joneses never reinforced the talent that was already here like San Francisco and Philadelphia did with their teams. The Cowboys were the 3rd best team in the NFC after the 2022 season. They arguably would have been the best if they kept Amari and used free agency/trades like San Francisco and Philadelphia. The Eagles and 49ers had strong rosters before the trades/free agency and took the opportunity to kick the doors in. Now with all the young teams in the NFC eggs cracking the Cowboys look lost and talentless. We have also failed drafting and resigning are own players. It does not look good for this organization in the future.
More like 2016 when we reached for Jaylon. Horrific pick that cost us dearly. Taco in 17, and then LVE and Connor Williams in 18. Instead of building on a really good roster, we started getting stupid and drafting reaches and injury prone players. Of course, we did gnab Trysten Hill in 19......

Hey wait, I thought we were this great drafting team?

I'm going to say all we have to look forward to is Steven getting fed up and wanting out of the football business.

The only thing that can save us now is another billionaire who is a real cowboy fan not just a fan of money and wants to see the Cowboys win a super bowl at all cost.

In the words of Steve Miller we need Steven Jones to take the money and run.

We suck at drafting. We are a lucky drafting team. In 2014 we wanted a linebacker and got lucky that Martin fell. Parsons and CeeDee were totally lucky picks. When we drafted Parsons we wanted to draft Horne who has been a disaster with Carolina. CeeDee fell to us because of no combine that draft season. We all know about the Dak pick. We wanted to trade up and draft a Memphis quarterback. I think the only guys the Cowboys did a good job of drafting were Tyron, Frederick, and Tyler. Then you counter that with Mazi, Taco, Joseph, Schoonmaker, LVE, Jaylon, Hill. etc, you see why McLay didn’t leave Dallas to take a GM job. He is not that good. We drafted Zeke with the 4th pick in the draft because we wanted to help Romo. That made no sense. Give Romo a defense.
