Burrow is kind of statue like
More about their o line. He's elusive when given the chance and it doesn't look like he's running in cement when he does take off. I doubt he would injure himself so badly running for a first down that he would require season ending surgery either. Only unique quarterbacks can do that. :lmao2:

Word. The criticizers who weren't watching but wanted to blame him for team issues.
I mean he is solid but not in that top tier. There are 4 elite QBs in the NFL right now and Stroud might be joining that club soon. After that you can argue about the next 8 and where they belong on that list and Herbert certainly is one of those.

Justin Herbert looks like one of the best QBs in the league. Harbaugh has that team turned around. Steelers are much better team than when Dallas beat them. They just win ugly.

Interesting stats:

Herbert’s downs success rate in 2024: lowest of his career

Herbert’s yards per game in 2024: lowest of his career

Herbert’s Total QBR in 2024: lowest of his career

Why? Because he’s asked to do less due to better talent around him and substantially better coaching

Actually the talent around him is worse. He lost his best two weapons and they replaced them with a RB, who miraculously is not injured. That is largely why his passing stats are way down: they don’t have the talent and are largely reliant on defense and running the ball. The Bengals are just so bad on offense that anyone can throw on them.

First, I would tend to agree that there are only 3 or 4 that deserve the elite status. Those are elite talents and they have gotten playoff experience and shown they can do it.

However, Herbert is as talented as any of those guys. Maybe more so. He is the only guy in the league that can say that. All he needs is to stay healthy & show what he can do on the big stage. As much as I like Stroud, he isn't in the same conversation of overall talent. Not saying he can't become elite but these other guys can do things he can't.

Harbaugh had enough sense to understand the elite talent was getting killed. Strengthen the trenches, get a running game & play solid defense. Let your superstar get healthy & just be the difference maker.

He IS one of the best-in the league.

Still very young. Harbaugh has helped go from very good to better than that. Almost “great”

13 TDs and 1 int is crazy

You seem to only be counting WR's as talent. They strengthened the OL & DL.

Yes, the WR's he had early in his career were talented but couldn't stay healthy. They have replaced them with young legs that at least can give them some consistency of being on the field.

Until I get back my Dallas Cowboys, I am going to consider Chargers as my second team and cheer for them. (1) I wanted Jim Harbaugh here as HC, and (2) I wanted Herbert as our QB since I started watching him at Oregon.

I need a team to keep me engaged in the football season. I don't see any light inside the Joneses Tunnel.

GO BOLTS

If the Chiefs showed one thing, it’s that a top a 5 OLine with scrub WRs makes for a bad offense even if your QB is amazing. In fact the drop in Herbert’s numbers is similar to that of Mahomes because someone has to catch the ball you throw and the Chargers offense has generally not been good because they don’t really have an answer to that question.

Cincy with the bomb TD to Higgins.

Seems like they have no business being in this game but they are now.
