That Super Bowl was more a sense of relief than anything else. I was really dissapointed on how we came out for pre-gameintroductions, everyone WALKED out of the tunnel instead of sprinting out, I think the team jumped the shark right there, like someone posted before, we went "hollywood". But it was a victory, the last one and I had thought we would have at least two more. Who would have thought that was the beginning of this drought were in.

I didn't know that.

I remember after we won they showed Aikman walking in the background of an interview. You couldn't tell he just won. Looked like he lost. It was weird.

Yeah, I have that SB and the previous 2 recorded. I rarely watch the Super Bowl XXX because it wasnt the same team in attitude and demeanor as Jimmys teams, but the team is walking out of the tunnel and it took a while, then when they finally got on the field they intoduced the Dallas offense I believe. At that moment I could understand why some people hated that team.

I understand what you mean. The demeanor was definitely not the same. It looked that way for a while. When we got up 13-0, which probably should have been 17-0 except for Irvin's offensive PI, I thought we were going to run the Steelers off the field like we did against Buffalo in 27 but we stopped being aggressive and that was a trait Jimmy wouldn't allow. They turned it off and almost lost complete momentum of the game. I say almost thankfully for Larry Brown or Neil O'Donnell however you want to look at it. The team got to comfortable and lost most of it's hunger. And it showed in the following years. I always wonder if we would have played the Niners instead of the Packers in the NFCCG what would have happened? I think that has been discussed on here before but I think we would have beat them. I just couldn't see the Niners beating us twice in our building back then. Even though we were lackadaisical at times we still played with a lot of pride.

Today is the 18th anniversary of our last Super Bowl. (Also the 54th anniversary of the day the NFL awarded the league's 13th franchise, the Cowboys, to Clint W. Murchison, Jr....Happy Birthday, Dallas Cowboys!)

Back to the anniversary of Super Bowl XXX....a child born on that day, January 28, 1996, is today old enough to register to vote.

Things that didn't exist the last time we were in a Super Bowl:

Smart phones
Facebook
Wifi
iPods
Google
American Idol
Texting

Tony Romo was 16 years old
Dez Bryant was 7. (edited, h/t: Super Kazuya)

And Jerry was not old enough

I've always felt the Niners had our # after the 94 season. I was jumping for joy when Steve Young threw that pick 6 at the beginning of the GB vs SF game and GB was up 7-0. I literally laughed to my brother and said "Cowboys are winning the SB this year."

I knew in my heart if we didn't have to play San Fran we'd win. I was only 9 at the time but I remember it like it was yesterday.

Seeing threads like this...man this drought is starting to sting. I really want another one guys. I don't care if Jerry gets the credit. I want to experience those same feelings at 6,7, and 9 as an adult. :(

I feel ya man. I'm tired of watching other teams in the Super Bowl year after year. This drought has been way too long for this franchise.

We gave the Whiners our number in both games that year. We outplayed them both games but shot ourselves in the foot repeatedly to make it nearly impossible to win either game. I honestly think the 94 Cowboys team may have been the best team of the teams in the 4 yr run but the only one not to win the SB.

I was 12 when they played that Super Bowl. I still have vivid memories of that one. Most of my Super Bowl memories are more about where I watched them and the food I ate, I guess because it involved more senses.

That really puts things in perspective. You were not even a teen yet and now you are 30. Thats a lot of bad football.

I have no problem agreeing and admitting the same exact feelings.

Due to that bs title game year before I didn't want 49ers again.

No they weren't. They may have been better than the 95 team but no way were they better than 92 and 93. Those teams were very deep and well coached. That 94 got beat at home by the Lions and Browns and looked dysfunctional and uninterested at times. The 92/93 would have crushed teams like that.

92 was all talent, hunger and determination. Maybe one of the best, complete teams of all times.
