Yes you may enjoy this win, as I am as well. I am laughing out loud right now at your post, but not in a negative way. I am probably as optimistic a fan as there is, but I guess my post seems to be raining on everyone's parade. LOL. It is not intended to do so. I realize some people are superstitious, but I am not one of them.

I really think Julius is a good back. I really do. I just want for him to be a great back. The reason I was asking this is I think if Julius got hurt this year, I think Thompson would not miss a beat, production-wise, although he might be a little bit less adept at pass blocking/blitz pickup at this point. I could also see this like the Bledsoe/Brady deal in New England. If Julius gets injured this year to any real extent, he might not get a chance to start here again if Thompson replaces him. This would not be true if A train was his replacement.

My 13-3 prediction shows how optimistic I am. This board is REALLY funny. If you predict your team will do well (like I have done) you are considered to be a HOMER. If you ask a realistic question it is akin to Voo-Doo witch doctoring. LMAO. You would have thought I had a Julius Jones doll poking it with pins. LMAO. Obviously, not all of this reply is directed to this poster, so please do not take offense.

Okay, I'll humor you. JJ goes down. A-train and Tyson Thompson split the load. A-train is more complete at catching and Pass protection, so that would be a BP logical choice. I guess the feeling i get is that you have seen something in TT in the last week to make you believe he could take JJ's job? I don't see it. He is quick around the outside, but that is all we have seen of him. Does he have vision? Can he pick up tough inside yardage? Can he make the 1st person miss? All questions that have not been answered. To say he would pick it up and not miss a beat is being unrealistic. As far as your record prediction, I don't have a problem with that. Predict what you want, thats what they are predictions. I predict a large mammal to fly out of my butt, doesn't mean its going to happen. I think we are all HOMERS here, and want the best for our football team. I come here sometimes and its doom and gloom after a win. And yes, asking what would happen if JJ went down is doom and gloom to me.

Despite getting blasted for bringing the subject up earlier, this thread looks pretty relevant from my viewpoint. Looks like my guess that Tyson Thompson might be the number two back it pretty plausible as well. I think after all the flack I took over this thread I'll pat myself on the back a little bit.

suppose a huge spaceship comes through the hole at Texas stadium and wipes out the whole team. Do you people sit around and just think this crap up? The team will cross that bridge when and if it happens. JJ is a hell of a back and is running fine. Do you remember what we've had here with EG and Hambone? These posts from misery hounds really pick my nerves.

I am still waiting on your "spaceship" misery hound.

Jones hasnt had too many outside runs called. i liked the call against the eagles, the hb toss where he gained big yards. But he has been taking a beating and running for tough yards up the middle when there havent been holes and against good defenses, and he hasnt been complaining about it. watch the games, he's getting every inch he can...its not like he's missing one hole and running into a lineman for a 2 yard loss cause he made the wrong cut or hesitated cause he couldnt make up his mind which way to go.

As for who would start A Train or Thompson, i think i go with the guy who has the experience, and let thompson have about 10 carries a game. If Thompson outplays Thomas, then you start to give him more opportunities until he is the starter and A Train is the one getting 10 plays a game. I just dont think Thompson is ready to carry the load yet.
