Sure Sign of the Apocolypse

As someone wisely pointed out (I think Silver), 'cutting' Lynn could be a cost saving move.

If he is re-signed on Sept 12, his vet salary won't be guaranteed for the season.

He'll be baaaaaaaaaaaaccKKKKKl!!!!!!!!!l!!!!!

Hee hee
Rasputin will return

They need to haul his but to jail for all of the money he stole! Good riddance. It feels good that we finally upgraded our talent enough that the likes of Scott and Walters are no longer needed!

In fairness, he completely outplayed Tony Dixon last year.

And Dixon got a lot more of Jerrah's moolah than Scott ever did.

I pray you are not right on this one. I feel a sense of nausea coming on. Especially with us being so thin a safety.

:pray2:

I think he is close to recieving a NFL pension with his time served. That in and of itself is quite an accomplishment in working with what the good lord gave him.

Will Parcells lead the Bolsheviks with only two safeties this year or will Rasputin return. We will see Sept 12th.

Both should be on a chain gang for grand theft larceny!

Not dixons fault that Jerry pulled perhaps the biggest reach ever for a cowboys player in the draft. :p:

Shouldnt that distinction go to blubber chubber Rogers? Hes one i wouldn't mind bashing lol.

Are you sure he's gone?

I hope so but I'm not so sure....we have 2 Safties on our entire team minus IR....

When HH is available once again, this should make him a happy man. Here's to you Hollywood Henderson!

I always said we'd never win another super bowl if Lynn Scott was one of our best 53 players......super bowl or bust baby, lol.

I met Lynn a few times, really nice guy. Talent or no talent the guy gave it his all and he loved being a Cowboy.

I wish him nothing but the best.

I feel for the guy - lots of players have talent...and just waste it away..... Larrimore, Bryant,...etc that have been Cowboys. Those players kill teams, cancers in the dressing room, selfish, non-team orientated, and you NEVER know what you will get from them - you just CAN'T rely on them to make simple plays. I dishonour those people, I disrespect them and I have no sympathy when they get booted.

Scott gave everything he could. Unfortunately for all of us, that just wasn't enough!! I can't help but respect the guy for all his effort, commitment, team ethos and spirit.

Good luck Lynn wherever you end up........ and no I wouldn't like fries with that!!! (Shoot! I fell at the last hurdle!!!)

I really do wish him well.

Yippee! I had always believed, and even posted here in the past, that as long as LS was on our roster, we were not at the talent level of a serious playoff team. Nothing against him personally, I wish him well. But he clearly had NFLE skills at best.

Lynn Scott and Tony Dixon were indictments of the talent level on the team. I can appreciate hustle just as much as the next guy but you need to have some skills and talent to go along with it. I would think that most fans would prefer seeing guys on the field who can actually make plays, rather than guys who allways come up short but hustle every down. Let's face it people, like it or not.....Lynn Scott and Tony Dixon were professional bums.

...you should be directing your anger at Jerry Jones and Dave Campo. Lynn Scott has nothing to do with his being on the Cowboys roster. He has absolutely nothing to do with the wages he was paid.

From my vantage point he gave this team exactly what they wanted, a versatile swing man at the safety positions while playing a prominent role on special teams.

He was released for salary cap reasons and he was always going to be fighting for a roster spot as Parcells tried to churn the bottom as much as possible. Problem was Parcells could never find an yone else in the league who could match up to Scott. In this league that's pretty impressive.

That's what I was wondering. I hope he can get enough time in to qualify for his pension.
