Receiver Patrick Crayton was asked by reporters in Dallas on Thursday if the Packers are a desperate team.

"I think so," he said. "The president is putting pressure on the head coach. The coach is throwing his players under the bus. It happens. Pressure busts pipes. People tend to crack up."

I can't figure out why Cray Cray's teammates or a coach cant get the idiot to shut up, especially after watching Porter energize the Pats last week. He really motivated the Giants prior to their playoff win against us and is about the only idiot that offers up locker room stuff on this team with any consistency.

I'm not sure what you can do. Tell him to shut up and he probably won't listen anyway. He's already benched and he has played better being benched. I think the locker room material stuff is a bit overblown because opposing teams are going to be pumped up to play against you, especially if you're the Cowboys, no matter what you do.

Where I think it can make a factor is riling up the fans and from my perspective, I want my players to concentrate on playing good football instead of other things like how this team is doing and running your mouth.

So, I think I'd just keep benching him and when Rossum is healthy, bench him as a PR. Then when he wonders why he's been benched as a PR, point to his big mouth. Maybe, then he'll get the point.

If anything, it seems real apparent by reading this that he would be downright giddy at seeing the Cowboys lose. I just don't know why he feels the need to take shots at Wade and Jerry.

This will likely be a tough game for Dallas, but instead of analyzing why that would be, he just seems to go with his bias and whatever his reason for his hatred against Jerry and apparently Wade of all people.

On paper/stats... we should win this game... Lambeau gets a few points, but this should be a win... going away...

Doesn't mean it will happen...

Goose's selections:

Offense

QB – Peyton Manning, Indianapolis. Seven 300-yard passing games for the 8-0 Colts.

HB – Chris Johnson, Tennessee. Leads the NFL in rushing and has scored five touchdowns of 50 yards or longer.

FB – Leonard Weaver, Philadelphia. Brought in to block but also contributes with his hands and legs.

WR – Vincent Jackson, San Diego. Averaging 17.2 yards per catch with 37 of 42 receptions producing first downs.

WR – Miles Austin, Cowboys. Gains almost a quarter of the football field (22.7 yards) with every catch.

TE – Dallas Clark, Indianapolis. Caught 14 passes in one game and gained 183 yards in another.

LT – Michael Roos, Tennessee. Even at 2-6, the Titans don't allow sacks and still run the ball with the best of them.

RT – Willie Colon, Pittsburgh. The best blocker on the defending Super Bowl champions and a top-five offense.

G – Steve Hutchinson, Minnesota. The best blocker on a line that makes Adrian Peterson the best back in the game.

G – Logan Mankins, New England. Tom Brady brings the skill to the Patriots offense, and Mankins brings the attitude.

C – Nick Mangold, NY Jets. The center is the key to a successful ground game. The Jets rank No. 1.

Defense

LE – Julius Peppers, Carolina. Blocked a kick, returned an interception for a TD and has seven sacks.

DT – Kevin Williams, Minnesota. His five sacks lead all NFL defensive tackles.

NT – Jay Ratliff, Cowboys. The key to a successful 3-4 scheme is a dominating nose tackle who commands double teams.

RE – Jared Allen, Minnesota. Shares the NFL lead with 10 ½ sacks playing on Metrodome's lightning fast rug.

SLB – Brian Cushing, Houston. NFL runner-up 78 tackles; his 10 passes broken up lead all linebackers.

MLB – Patrick Willis, San Francisco. Leading tackler in NFL's fourth-ranked run defense.

WLB – James Harrison, Pittsburgh. Eight sacks are impressive, his NFL-leading four forced fumbles even more so.

CB – Leon Hall, Cincinnati. His 16 passes broken up leads all NFL corners, also has four interceptions.

CB – Asante Samuel, Philadelphia. Leads all NFL corners with five interceptions and has broken up 13 other passes.

SS – Adrian Wilson, Arizona. A thumper in the NFL's third-ranked run defense.

FS – Darren Sharper, New Orleans. Returned three of his league-high seven interceptions for scores.

Special teams

K – Stephen Gostkowski, New England. Second in the NFL in scoring (73 points) and touchbacks (15).

P – Shane Lechler, Oakland. NFL-leading 44.9-yard net average with just four touchbacks in 46 punts.

KR – Josh Cribbs, Cleveland. NFL leader in punt returns, scored TDs on both punt and kickoff this season.

KC – Montell Owens, Jacksonville. Jaguars lead the NFL in punt coverage and Owens has 15 special-teams tackles.

This is a game where journalists try to make themselves look smart by picking the underdog. Believe me, they have spent little time analyzing why. So a team that is seeing their season slip away must win. Where is the logic in that? How about Dallas must win to keep a lead in the NFC East. If you said that you still don't believe Dallas has any heart, I would give you more street creds. Dallas could win or lose, but it has little to do with GBs season slipping away. It has to do w/ stupid penalties, Ints and talent.

I think the Packers need this win to save their season, and that is always a tough team to play. I would like to see us step up and beat a team that's back is against the wall.

I don't appreciate the digs, particularly the one at Jerry. Why, exactly, would Jerry be "seething" over a loss at Green Bay? Good gosh. But other than that qualm, I don't see the big deal. He picked Green Bay to win. Whoopty doo. :)

Dallas Cowboys (6-2) at Green Bay Packers (4-4)

If I were the FOX director doing this game, I'd have a WadeCam (because Wade Phillips is always good for about eight agonized expressions during a game), and I'd dedicate one to Jerry Jones, seething, in the final two minutes. I don't love Green Bay, but I like them here because they've got to look at this game as a last-gasp playoff hope.
Prediction: Green Bay Packers 30, Dallas Cowboys 27

:laugh2: @ Green Bay putting up 30 points on our defense right now. This guy is a joke.

I agree. The Packers have only put up 30+ points twice this season. They did it against the great Rams and Browns teams.

The Packers also limited only four teams to 27 or fewer points - Bears, Rams, Lions, and Browns.

The Packers four wins have come against the Bears, Rams, Lions, and Browns. The Packers have lost to the Bengals, Vikings (twice), and the Buccanears (LOL).

This team just doesn't scare me.

I gotta admit I haven't looked at who the Packers' wins/losses have come against, but holy cow. Looking back, I guess it was the Bears game that was Green Bay's trademark win, eh?

The Packers can win, but I would venture to guess it's going to take some supreme performances by a lot of sub-par players in order for it to occur.

I like Rogers - but I don't like his prospects for the Packer OL to allow him staying upright for the greater portion of this game. He's gonna take a beating by this resurgent Cowboys pass rush - with much of that a result of improved pass coverage by Dallas.

37 sacks so far - jeebus, this kid is taking a beating. And it just gets worse for him this week.

Peter King is way off on this one.

I think Dallas will win, but I don't think it's way off-base for some pundits to pick Green Bay in this game. This is Green Bay's season. Their backs are to the wall. We'll find out exactly what kind of team they are on Sunday. Do they fold with their season on the line or do they save themselves?

I think Dallas is the better team. It's just tough to gauge a team that's on the brink of losing their season. They certainly have more on the line than Dallas does. The Packers aren't devoid of talent, either. Driver, Jennings, Rodgers, Kampman (if he plays), Grant, Woodson, Harris, etc. all have skill sets that are among some of the league's best.

This will be no walk in the park for the Cowboys. I think we win, but it's going to be a hell of a fight IMHO.

Just like last week, the Iggles game was a measuring stick game for the Cowboys. But the same should be said about this week's game in Green Bay. We will see if the Cowboys are up to the task. Or will the Cowboys run out of steam in this game after playing their butts off in Philly last week?

This is yet another litmus test for the Cowboys. This is the type of game that seperates championship caliber teams from the average teams.

Green Bay could beat us at home but you can't sell yourself or your words by making safe picks--if I offered to bet him on the game, i doubt he'd take GB.
