Switzer

“I was assessing where I was on the field and didn’t end up catching it cleanly,” Switzer said. “It happens. Not the first time I’ve done it. Won’t be the last. Obviously, it’s a big play in the game but I thought we bounced back well.”

That is the stupidest comment I've heard today ...

"I thought we bounced back well" Really? Did you guys?

Switzer made a boneheaded play, but if this team lets that one play destroy their ability to win, that's on the whole team, not on one player. What we should now ask of Switzer is to learn from his mistake and get better.

Guys, he made a rookie mistake. A big one, that changed the game. This game isn't on the defense. This game is on this offense which was unstoppable for 30 minutes and then Linehan and the offense failed to do anything for the rest of the game. Can't believe someone blamed the defense which held them to FGs for most of the game. Not worried about Switz.

I'll give him a break for this game, he needs to fix it though.

Listen, I'll be doing this again. I'm warning you now.

Can you imagine if this little pipsqueak made this same comment with Parcells as coach?

Sad part, this is all anybody will remember.

Yet, our offense stalled and defense couldn't stop them.

Doesn't matter. This is a game of momentum. Jimmy Johnson talks about it all the time. Who is going to make the play to get us the momentum and, in this case, who is going to make the mistake to cost us the momentum? These are game changing plays.

The little Switzer boy changed the game today and for the single reason of being selfish. He's no doubt frustrated with having next to no role in the offense so he's trying to force things in the return game.

It was a dumb play, an even dumber comment after the game and he should be released on Monday. He won't be but he should be.

Don't fool yourself.

The defense lost this game. Had the Rams scored a couple of TD's instead of all those FG's it would have been a blowout. The defense got pushed around all day.
Seven field goals, I think it was a Rams record, you are right had they scored touchdowns it would have been a blowout.

If you draft a guy and build him up to be the savior of your return game don’t be surprised if he feels obligated to push himself right into bad decisions his first year. Rookies gonna rook.

Especially when for the first few games, he had to fair catch or kneel everything. He's a rookie and he's desperate to make a splash.

If you fault him for today's loss, you are clueless (not you personally, in general). Did he change momentum? Sure. But after the score was made 17-13, we came back down and scored to make it 24-13. That's the end of that. It was all defense and inept offense after. Only scored 6 pts after and the defense allowed the Rams to gash them the rest of the game. Lucky for us, the Rams had to settle for 7 FGs or they might have hung 60 on us.

He cost us the game today. Rams gained confidence after that muff. I don't care about him taking it out of the end zone on kicks. But that fumble is uncalled for.
Total momentum changer and momentum is very real in the NFL. You could see the Rams were on their heels in the first half as Dallas drove the ball at will, that fumble gave them hope and helped change the game around.

I agree.....there are so many aspects to winning and losing in this league. It was clear that the Rams couldn't move the ball plus our defense was enjoying not being on the football all game. That was a HUGE momentum shifter. The Cowboys honestly were never the same after that play.

I won't be too hard on him. He's a rookie. He will learn. I don't even mind him taking the ball out of the end zone and trying to make a play......but he got too cocky.....at this point in time sometimes its just better to be safe than sorry when it comes to special teams.

Switzer is a clown.

FRom watching that stupid workout video to seeing him play-clearly not a smart football player

its amazing that video makes him look great then he makes huge mistake and its like yo clown put down the weights. Not taking shot at you...just how things work.

Although not happy, I can accept getting beat by the man across from you. Hell, maybe he was just the better man on that play, on that day, or period. I can somewhat accept "hustle" penalties. Again, any and every penalty pisses me off, but I understand that penalties are part of a human game called football. However, I cannot accecpt pure stupidity and lack of discipline. Switzer exibited both several times in the game, especially on the fumbled punt. No. Damn. Excuse! None!

He made a rookie mistake and I'm not down on him as much as some but he needs to stop this BS. This is the second time he's done this and he got lucky the first time that no one lit him up.

Didn't the coaches tell him anything when he did this crap last time? There is time to be aggressive and there is time to just fair catch the ball.

Idk, short arms, small hands, small stature I'm a little worried about the fumble. I think Beasley is an anomaly in this league
I saw where #11 took a solid hit ,I think in the 3rd quarter and went to the sideline, sure hope he alright.
