Am I really the only one who remembers Scandrick getting beaten like a drum throughout the year? Tackling poorly and just getting turned inside out over and over again?

You people are too reactionary. We've got three pretty good corners, it looks like. Newman is probably still the best of the three. Just because he wasn't one of the two who got a pick yesterday doesn't change that. He ended the Panthers game. Noone remembers that, huh?

I have slowly noticed something that is a very good thing for our DEFENSE at the CB position

Jenkins is our #1 playmaker ......and what I mean is making plays on the football and coming out of his breaks.......and he is over not making tackles and hitting hard (ref last yr Balt game) the kid is our #1 cb.

Scandrick is slowly moving into our #2 playmaker......did you see his leaping catch? He is a good tackler and many people (coaches) believe he is the most talented.

Newman, (Pro Bowler) is starting to work his way into our #3 cb slot......he gets beat more often then not......breaks late on the WR and ball.....needs help to tackle most of the time (he did have one great hit today)......I am not saying this in a bad way......it is just a FACT! Zoners this is a good thing.....Newman our 3rd BEST cb on the team!

Spot on analysis, but there are several good palyers on this team that are being payed like Elite players. Newman, Barber, Flozell, and Roy Williams are all getting payed top dollar but are only giving average production. If there is no salary cap next year, I wouldn't mind seeing those players get traded or in Adams case flat out released. Thats not to say that those players suck, but they are average to good players. I think Dallas can get a speed receiver or physical reciever in this years draft and easily match Roy Willy's production. All those salaries being taken off the books in an uncapped year would be a blessing as Dallas would be able to redirect that money to Ware, now Austin, and Spencer when his contract is up. I also think Choice is going to be asking for a lot of coin when he eventually hits the FA market. The only draw back to the salary cap purge would be that players would not be allowed to hit the FA market like they used to, so there wouldn't be any FAs to replace those players production. Dallas would have to draft well.

what the hell is the deal with people seeing one or or two games, hell, even plays, and making such drastic statements?

some are just programmed to ***** regardless of the games outcome.

Newman was not ready to play in the 1st, I will agree with that, but he must have gotten his act together after that because I did not see him much - which is a good thing.

He has to be ready to play. His play on the first drive was pretty bad and I was fussing at him the whole time. The whiff on that one attempted tackle was pathetic.

It was good to see Wade getting in his grill - because it was definitely called for.

Jenkins is playing great though , that is for sure. Scandrick is a good zone CB but his man is not up to par yet - aka Gonzles on 3rd down!

If he is our 3rd best then this secondary is going to continue to improve. Jenkins has been playing better than anyone in the secondary so I give him big time kudos. As for Newman I think is still a very important part of this secondary
