I agree. No TO in ROH.

There are some incentive clauses though...

IF TO has decided that the Cowboys are the team that he feels are his family(because they actually made him a part of it). He has said something similar in past.

TO helps win a couple of SB's via signing another 3 years deal AFTER the current 3 year deal... I know, I know... his age.... DID you see him play the othe day? Like a 23 year old.

Anyways.... 6 years total playing time for Cowboys with 3 SB's... then he should be considered.... even THEN I am not 100% sold on him being in ROH.

The evolution of "the player"... it would make a great story. It could be a smart PR move by Jerry AND it could make up for the Eagles NOT celebrating his 100 TD's. He may break Jerry Rice's TD total as a Cowboy

Oh... and we all know why Drew Pearson is not in ROH... something to do with business in past?

Let's use a little Terrell Owens logic.

If Owens can be forgiven for past transgressions against the franchise, why can't Pearson's past business offenses against the franchise receive similar treatment? It's just business and Pearson's accomplishments for the organization shouldn't be diminished because of it, right?

Terrell Owens DOES NOT and NEVER WILL belong in the Ring of Honor. He is a hired gun not a Cowboy and He never will be.

As for him being a "Lock" for the HoF...Maybe. You say that with the career that he had they can't keep him out. I say that if they can keep Bob Hayes and Drew Pearson out they can keep anyone out.

Let me first say that I support TO and think he will have a fantastic year, but I think Drew Pearson is more deserving, and if TO got in and he didn't it would be a disgrace. Tony Hill did more for Dallas than TO probably will for that matter. Don't understand why Drew isn't in there yet.

You must be joking.
Terrell Owens and Deon Sanders will never even be considered for the Ring of Honor, and it has nothing to do with how great they were as players.

I agree. This isnt for players that only played here a few years no matter how dominant they were for those few years.

Now picture this case for T.O. Lets say he acts up again here and leaves Dallas in a huff calling Romo names etc.. like he has all his other quarterbacks in the past as he bailed on teams. I am not saying it WILL HAPPEN but what if... and then he gets elected to the HOF (which he should btw...)

What uniform does he wear to be inducted? He burned his bridges at every stop and ends up being despised by the fans after he left. He was never at any stop more then a few years...

You figure he will just get inducted wearing those black spandex outfits he uses for practice? (wink)

In the grand scheme of things, even without know how much revenue Pearson is 'stealing' from Jerry Jones, it's peanuts in comparison to Jones' bottom line. That's not enough of a reason that Jones cannot honor an all-time Cowboys great in my book.

This is kind of out of left field, but what about Everson Walls and Ron Springs? Those two embody the Cowboy spirit as much as anybody (both good players as well, excellent in Walls' case.)

No ROH for TO

It's not for hired guns. It's for real original Cowboys.

this would be my opinion. he would have to do a LOT more for the community, the cowboys, and so forth before even being considered. but i do agree the ROH is for homegrown superstars.

You gotta be joking about Springs right? There are tons of more deserving Cowboys based on their quality of play.

Walls was better then Springs but still does not belong in the ROH. Thats for the best of the best. Not just homegrown Cowboys.

Think league MVP's and perenial all-pro's etc... Guys that excelled in long cowboy careers over a period of time.

Honestly, if Owens does what you say he does, and he leads us to multiple Super Bowl wins, then I do think he has a shot.

I think it needs to be more than just 1 super bowl win for us to even consider him.

This is correct. More than one Super Bowl would make me go hmmm.

The question was a hypothetical about TO. No one said no other Cowboys should be considered for ROH in place of TO & no one said bringing in TO would happen asap so I assume it would have been down the road.

Jerry has been slow to bring in our older great players who deservedly show already be in the ROH. Don't understand why. Doesn't make much sense to me that he seems to limit it more to those who also more likely to make the HOF. So yes several should be in there now. Also players from the 90s should be in there including Moose Johnston & Darren Woodson. Wish Larry Allen would stop playing after this year so Jones could induct him into our ROH asap cause we need more OL representatives.

Anyone know the specifics of all the players in the ROH? Are they all homegrown Cowboys or have played atleast so many years as Cowboys? Anyone in ROH that wasnt always a Cowboy?

Nope...shouldn't be a consideration. I think the bulk of Owens' career was in San Fran...and any ROH should be from their perspective not the 'boys. I think in the grand scheme of things, TO will be with the 'boys a max of 4-5 years, if he's given an extension. That wouldn't be enough, IMO, no matter all the team accomplishments that would be gained while he was here.

Based on numbers alone, I think he's worthy of HOF consideration, but not for the 'boys ROH.
