You ain't kiddin', LTN. I haven't seen in yet, but from what I gather, this could be the last straw from the fanbase standpoint. I've been rooting for him to make it as a Cowboys, warts and all, but the warts might be a bit too troublesome.

You know the beauty of it all? Our Cowboys are too smart and too united to allow TO to be the difference maker (negative) that he was in SF and Philly. I just don't see these guys giving a poot. They can take him or leave him. This may be the best medicine for TO yet.

i think the real question here is....

is his production worth the headaches....it seems like he's been a distraction at times this season but have we played like it? has the team been affected by it? i really don't think so...

I for one am getting tired of the whole TO situation but the fact is he's still having a pretty good season...it's realistic that he could reach 1000 yards today. we're in 1st place and with a little luck, we could grab a first round bye...

90% of the board would have taken that scenario at the start of the season...

His play on the field has never been a problem but his act doses wear on a team over time... He is jabbing at a Head Coach that knows how to handle it and that is why it is not as big an issue as it would have been if TO was playing someplace else.

This too shall pass, but Juke, this idiot just put more pressure on himself.

I'm just disgusted with the Martin Luther King reference from Owens...and Irvin for not jumping all over him for it.

This is all fun and games and tons of money. Drama, drama, drama. Ultimately, it's entertainment.

BUT Owens' "struggles" are always his own doing.

Please, King gave up his life for his cause.

Owens and King in the same sentence?

Disgusting.

I'm not buying excuses he is using for his drops.

First off I think the media makes more of his drops because he is TO. And that is his fault as much as it is the media. I mean if you bring all this attention on yourself then be prepared to suffer the criticism when you do not come thru.

Also TO is being TO. He is never going to change. Think about the Carolina game for a minute...remember Parcells grabbing TO's hat and sharing a laugh after that victory. That was after TO's overdose...things are going OK.

Parcells is right...TO remembers every little thing.

TO is driven by people doubting him or dissing him. He is looking for that all the time. He will find something to get him going even if there is nothing happening. Kind of like ESPN does with TO stories.

BTW-consider Tom Jackson sucked in.

BUT the disgrace of trying to frame his "struggles" (does he struggle when he's going to the bank?) all self created, self imposed might I add, within the context of the philosopy of Martin Luther King, is about as disgusting as it gets.

I'm glad to hear that irked someone else as well.

But typical, again, of an ego that thinks the world revolves around it...what 'perspective'.

And that smile, man oh man, someone should slap that off his face.

Someone on his own team, preferably.

Someone on his own team, preferably.

I'm not irked. I'm downright disgusted and angry.

Like I said, the rest is entertainment. Take a nap on the football in the end zone...oooooooh...who cares.

But this is life stuff at this point. That display by Owens, and his patsy Irvin, was TOTAL disrespect for a man who was KILLED for what he believed...and might I add, helped pave the way for a moron like Owens.

And ESPN should be kicked in the backside too for STARTING their production with that.

Whatever...

Well, lack of historical awareness in the young no longer surprises me, but I must say the travesty of connecting your 'betrayal in Dallas' with that of our most beloved martyred civils right leader does not surprise me in Owens' case.

God only knows he's at least as 'important' as MLK.

I'm just surprised Mike and Terrell didn't pull out a few Biblical references.

Certainly the Dallas "rat" is as heinous a character as Judas Iscariot.:laugh2:

Come on Juke..let's you and I try to find the humour in this clown's act.

He'll be gone soon enough.:)

Well, as the spotlight intensifies heading for post season, we have two choices, throw a lot to TO, or cut him. He isn't going to shut up, he can't.

If we cut him now, we have time to develop an offense without him, if we wait till he really goes off, (he will) there will be no time before the playoffs.

This game should tell what the coaching staff has in mind. I don't really care which way they go, use him or cut him, but the status quo isn't going to make
it.

He wants to know about STRUGGLES. Let him try to be a moderator with Winicki!

Ah, screw it, I'm too pissed to make jokes.

That was just vile.

Owens just lost all crediability with that interview and its sad to think that he is so blind not to see it.

Parcells is a genius in keeping this in perpective and knowing that he has a team to be concern with so he will move forward.

There is no chance that parcells will allow himself to move forward with this guy next season. But to find his production will be JJ challenge.

I am no longer an Owens apologist and feel he should go. Let him be someone else's problem because he just talks too much about nothing.

He should be a HOF but the ring of honor is no longer an option ( if it ever was)

Why cant anyone talk to him and say JUST SHUT UP AND PLAY FOOTBALL!

On the Nosey.

Irvin should have been all over him.

I think Tom Jackson can be a weener at times but I loved his attitude and his response. AND he was passionate about it.

Because someone references a MLK quote, they are all of a sudden disgusting? He wasn't trying to denigrate or sully his name. Whatever. I bet I must be being sacreligious because of my signature.

There's always something used to put this guy down.

Yep..that's what I did. I said "Ya know, I'm gonna go look for something to put down Owens today"

He didn't "reference" a MLK quote. He's got it on the wall as you enter his home so that he can use that quote as a way to deal with his own struggles. He in fact, COMPARED the two!

Tell ya what, I'd have more respect if he WAS intentionally trying to denigrate. The fact that he is BLIND to his own words, is much more disturbing.

Please. You can go kiss his backside because he can catch (somtimes) a football. I'm not.

Its like he is a walking contradictory, Its not fun. It is fun .I'm happy I'm not happy.. Man I really wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. But after todays interview, I'm really REALLY on the fence with this guy.Mike just didn't know how to defend him either, What a mess. He really is a Dangerous team mate.
Hey Juke I think I'm ready to change my Picture now.

Normally I havent supported Jackson in his opinion about Owens but he was on point in his analagy of the situation. To say you are not listening to a legendary coach because you were thinking about your party was inexcuseable.

He was also on point about how owens simply does not get it and will be a disruption in due time. I personally thought that owens was doing o.k. but jackson was right that the guy will only get worse. You just dont throw a HOF coach under the bus and undermine what he is saying. He has two SB rings and knows what it takes to win and to say that he is not on page with him stinks!!

I am sure the media frenzy that will come this week will soon blow over but the off season I think T.O. will be suprised when they cut him and go for a player who will give them less production but more chemistry.

Just like the Patriots were able to move on and win losing key players so will the cowboys because they have the players, cap room, quarterback, and coach to over come a player like T.O. Hey terry glenn know how a sour attitude will not stop the bus and he was their goto player at the time.

BYE T.O. and good riddance! Maybe you and vanderjact can compare each other's "manhood" and see whose is the biggest! Both of you may be shocked at how small you both are!
