Sit down and be realistic about the TO situation. The team that picks him up inherents his contract, so you can already count some teams out (IE Slurs). Now think about it, if you were seriously going to pick up TO's contract, wouldn't you want to talk to him to even see if he wants to play for you? Your going to want to redo his contract I don't think many teams are prepared to dish out 9 mil next spring. Do you really want a TO on your team who doesn't want to play for you and who you know will hold out to try and get his way. TO goes to a team that wants him and he wants to go to. Yes, Dallas is a serious possibility especially after what JJ has said. Some of you like it and some of you hate it, but I wouldn't put anything past JJ at this point.

As far as who is right and who is wrong, I agree that the eagles should have the right to suspend him and to not activate him for games, however if they are going to do that, then they must allow him into the team facilities. Just because they own the contract does not mean he is their slave like some of you are making him out to be.

All I am saying is brace yourself, Dallas could get its #1 reciever very soon, especially if they think they can make a run at the SB this year.

Lets think about this logically. Its gonna be a team that still has a shot. Its gonna be a team that thinks T.O can make them good enough for a playoff run. Most likely he will get claimed before us. I think it would have to be one of the following teams. I eliminated teams that are out or don't have as great a need for his services. Batimore I removed because he skunked them on his way to Philly. So here are who I think are possibilities:

New England 6 4 0
Buffalo 4 6 0 .
Cleveland 4 6 0
San Diego 6 4 0
Kansas City 6 4 0
Oakland 4 6 0
Washington 5 5 0
Minnesota 5 5 0
Atlanta 6 4 0

Of these teams, I could see Atlanta and Washington and suprising enough, NE or Buffalo. SD is probably not realistic. Oakland is probably not that realistic either, they have good receivers.

If T.O. is released he has to go through waivers so the non-playoff teams have a shot at him if their intent is for the future so while I agree the more likely will be a playoff contender I would not rule out a team with a bad record claiming him. T.O does not have a choice about going through the waiver wire.

Nobody has to spend more. They simply assume his contract from what I understand.

And what good would it do to get Green Bay to bite? They are finished for the season anyways.
If that's the case it would be funny. One of the reasons why TO has been demanding a enw contract is because his previous contract was negotiated under a different Agent. Drew Rosenhaus doesn't earn a penny from TO on anything he didn't negotiate.

49ers, Texans, Jets - LOL.

What about the Vikings? Moss out, twin brother in?

Can we pick him up, not play him and release him after the season to block our evil competitors from having him for the playoffs?

If David Carr pulled a stunt like that he would be living with Quincy Carter within the week.

I believe with his current contract (perhaps AdamJT can verify this), T.O. is due a $5 million roster bonus in March and his salary next season is like $770,000.

I have a feeling that IF he is waived and IF a team claims him, it will be as a hired gun for this season OR to keep a potential playoff rival from getting him.

I doubt teams whose season is over would claim him especially given his age even if he is one of the best receivers in the league.

If he went back to the 49ers I'd crack up.

Using this logic the GIants could pick him up to keep him from us signing him.

Yeah, I see the Commanders claiming him as well because they always "think" they're one player away.

I also think the Commanders are a very real possibility. Danny Boy would figure out a way to get him under the cap and I don't think Joe Gibbs would be objectionable to it.

Atlanta 6 4 0

You can scratch New England, Oakland, and Minnesota from that list, simply because he will not be wanted on those teams. He won't show up in Cleveland or Buffalo, because he wants a good QB to play with, and if they claim him, he simply will not show up, so you can scratch those two teams. That leaves San Diego, Kansas City, Washington, and Atlanta.

Even though Kansas City needs a true #1 WR, Vermille is not tough enough to deal with TO, and will probably cry every day in practice...so you can scratch the long shot Chiefs too. Washington is a possibility, but don't you have to have money to claim him? Unless that make some major contractual changes or release someone, don't expect Washington to get him.

San Diego is interesting. They are still in the hunt, and if Gates is a no-go, their season is over. So TO may be the savior they need. Atlanta is also a good possibility. TO already lives in Atlanta, but how will he coexist with Vick? I really don't think he will get enough reps to satisfy his ego there, but he still might go.

So basically, we are looking at two teams: Atlanta of San Diego. I am not sure how their finances are, but it is a good possibility he will end up with either one of those teams. If not, Dallas is the sure front runner.

My TO handicapping:

Buffalo - Not competitive enough, no proven QB

Miami - New coach with much to prove = No TO

New England - No way Belicheck lets him in the door

NY Jets - Uh...No

Baltimore - Tried it already

Cinncinnatti - Chad Johnson is the Star in that town

Cleveland - No QB, not a good team equals no way.

Pittsburgh - No way no how.

Houston - Not competitive

Indianapolis - Cruising on all cylinders equals no chances on TO

Jacksonville - Possibility, but I dont see it. Too low of a profile.

Tennessee - Rebuilding...Next

Denver - Maybe...big Maybe

Kansas City - Vermeil likes to cry after games not during the week.

Oakland - Jerry Porter and Randy Moss equals no room for TO

San Diego - Dont think Marty would go for TO, but might deal with the Devil for a SB.

Dallas - Jerry Jones is the owner...could happen.

NY - Tom Coughlin says "Just Say No To TO"

Philly - No reconcillation here.

Washington - Danny likes to make a big splashes...that would be a tidal wave.

Chicago - New coach in town...See Miami.

Detroit - Do I even got say it

Green Bay - Rebuilding

Minnesota - Mike Tice is on borrowed time he would do it, nothing to lose. Would the new owner go for it?

Atlanta - Likely landing place

Carolina - Star WR already on board, John Fox not taking that chance.

New Orleans - Not a good team...next

Tampa Bay - Gruden been there done that with Keyshawn

Arizona - D Green would go for it, TO will not

St. Louis - Dont need him

San Fran - Been there done that

Seattle - Missing piece? Possibly

He goes through waiver wire

Someone will take him for sure - no bonus and assume his salary -and trade him later. Its a no brainer. Free draft pick to sign TO.

He'll go top 10 in waiver list.

Why would someone pick him up just to trade him?

That hits the cap twice.
