If we did that, Bledsoe would probably ask to be cut or traded. The guy has just played like a bust so far. We already have Columbo and Pettiti, I don't think we need any more developmental tackles.

I'd sign him to a small money 3 or 4 year contract and see if we can get anything out of him. No harm, no foul. If he gets Bledsoe killed, we'll just have to draft another QB.
