I just saw in another thread that he needs to be moved to DT because he is too slow. And ever since he has been drafted many people have looked at his 40 time and came to to assumption due to his speed he needs to either play LDE or move inside

Oh no, no more light a-- at DT, that's the problem now.

Pulled this off an old tweet from Mosher.

Corrects the false belief that he is " to slow" to play DE

This is 100% absolutely false and untrue. Taco Charlton did not run a timed 1.63 10 yard splits. He ran it much slower at 1.73, which would have ranked him among the top 3 slowest of the bunch, hence his 4.92 timed 40 yard dash.

That looks like a typo.

His combine 10 yard split is 1.69.
His pro day 10 yard split is 1.63.

Taco is still soft, soggy, bland and cold. Maybe he will get a bit more spicy, and warm. Right now we need a better chef in the kitchen.
Ty Crawford steals snaps he needs. When healthy last yr our four was Irving, tank, crawford, peaea/Collins

tank was getting limited snaps all year. If we need less Crawford more Taco.

no one in their right mind expected him.to.come in ur one like Javon Kearse.

They don't running in a straight line 10 yards to the QB. He's numbering and his 10 yard split doesn't disprove that.

I can't take any of these 3 sites seriously since none of them list his shuttle times, which he ran at the 2017 combine. Plus, one website has his combine 40 yard dash timed result at 4.91 seconds, when we all know it was 4.92. Talk about typos.

What people are failing to realize is that the Cowboys defense is “left handed”. What I mean is this....
D Lawrence is more of your quick twitch DE that is your #1 pass rusher. In a 4-3 that guy is usually on the RIGHT or weak side going against your left tackle (usually best pass-blocker). The Cowboys do the opposite. Lawrence is more comfortable and plays on the LEFT mostly against slower right tackles. He is a nightmare for them. This forces teams to chip on that side or leave in an extra blocker. Leaves your right DE one on one. So a RDE in the Cowboys defense is really a LDEon any other team. Thus, guys like Taco are in the correct spot. I predict more 4-3 teams will catch on to this in the future which will change the traditional way a RT plays as well. A beast at 1 tech would only make this D line more dangerous.

This is becoming a trend across the league, and it's nice seeing the Cowboys near the forefront. The Eagles also play Graham at LE instead of RE.
