Who will end season with more sacks? I believe taco has more so far this year.

Did we give up on taco too soon? He was playing out of position because that's where tank was. Could have saved 100 mil
last year we had all the luck..this year we got none?

Judging by dlaws "outstanding" performances on the field so far... meh could have used either or....not a ton of difference between them to date.

Instead they held out, like teams do on any remotely marketable talent from this organization. They wait for release.

We are too transparent. Or we have blabbermouth personnel. Probably both.

Stephen Jones has admitted that trades are challenging for whatever reason. Gosh darn it, it just never works out.

Draft
  • The primary issue is that they didn't red flag his personality issues when they drafted him.
2018
  • He started the first 7 games and was then benched for game 9.
  • The trade deadline was before game 8.
  • My speculation is that he had a meltdown when he didn't start game 8.
    • Crawford had been starting at DT, but started at DE beginning in game 8.
2019
  • He flashed good plays and good effort in the preseason.
  • It appears they knew they were not going to keep him.
  • Did he have any trade value in the preseason?

You mean we gave up the wrong Hot Boyz member? >.> Anyway people tend to do this all the time, when a player does better somewhere else, which in this case is yet to be seen. Take Marty B for instance, a super bowl champion, but he was trash here and trash on other teams after us. Took the pats to make something out of him, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't been good here if he'd of stayed.

This is not accurate. MB was successful for both NY and Chi prior to going to NE.

Taco was bad? What good lineman do we have that was under Rod M? Quinn was playing great the first 3 games. Now he's been infected by the Rod strain disease also. Of course he'll need a full year to get the full benefits. Like Green said of NBA players. Some of these organizations destroy the player before they even have a chance to succeed. I think basically that can go for our whole coaching staff. Can you name any coach we have you'd trust with any first rounder if you were a GM?

This should be much of more an indictment on Tank thus far than any praise for Taco. He still sucks

They supposedly tried moving him in the draft. My guess is they thought he would market himself for their benefit more than he did.

I do get a chuckle out of the idea we were just oozing with talent on both of our lines in the offseason. Nothing happened. And here we are.

Yeah, I guess you're right. I was remembering reading some things about his behavioral problems in NY and Chi, but just now a quick search and he had those in NE too. Not worth keeping for being a locker room cancer alone. But still, I don't blame the cowboys for getting rid of him because he under performed here, I still remember a game he did horrible in and everybody here wanted to get rid of him. The point is sometimes players, or people in general, don't do better until they get fired and have to reflect on what they did wrong and are forced to improve. MB was a cancer, too much of a distraction, and probably hindered NY and CHI more than helped.
