Take chance on Taylor Mays

If we are going after players like Gachkar, Collins, Agnew then why not a former blue chipper like Taylor Mays. Cincy is asking him to take a MINIMUM contract and he looks like he will do it.

Mays is just as athletic and about as big as Gachkar and Watson, but was a blue chip talent coming out of college. Bengals have experimented with Mays at OLB and Mays was much more productive playing closer to LOS at USC. For the vet minimum, the Cowboys should take a chance.

Maybe as cheap depth, but nothing more. I loved Mays at USC, but he's just not a good player for what the saftey position requires today. He's had some really good coaches and every opportunity to develop, and he hasn't. Pass.

Good idea as a LB. They will have to give hime mkre guaranteed money than Cincy. They gave 1 of those FB about 60K guaranteed... might as well try it with Mays.
