They will do better by changing the running scheme.

They will do better by upgrading the center position.

They will do better with Steele another year away from his ACL.

If Guyton is serviceable (he will be) the running game should be a lot better at some point in the season.
All of that remains to be seen whether it improves the running game because the backs matter. That’s where the concern lies.

Has that ever happened for any NFL team?
It’s generally accepted knowledge that Stephen has seized more control in recent years.

In the past months, even with forgetting about any ridiculousness spewed from the mouth of the old man….the guy most in charge has claimed that other teams would soon be cutting good players and they would be in on those. Finger on pulse of league? Not really.

He also claimed that being THREE difficult and consecutive playoff wins shy of a title is about the ball not bouncing the right way.

Ezekiel Elliott was cooked three years ago, not two, now he is back and watch and see if he doesn’t start in Cleveland.

I still cannot figure out how anyone in charge of personnel for an NFL team could have sat through their last game and determined that a 7th round pick was a sufficient fix at DT.

Oh yeah the point….where are we going here?

Colombo comes to mind.
Now I know you’ve either lost your mind or you’re really as big of goof as everyone says you are
In 2005 when Columbo was brought to the Cowboys Will McClay was a very low level scout. Jerry would’ve listened to him as much as he listens to his wife’s second cousin.
Did you really just base this entire thread off of Marc Columbo. Please leave. You’re uninvited to the site. Good Lord help us!!!

Marc Columbo is who you think of as a good FA vet pickup. WTH is wrong with you?

Colombo was a great practice squad find off of a practice squad.

You guys remember when Jerry drafted Roger Staubach out of Navy in the 10th round of 1964? His top scout Will McClay recommended Staubach after watching him win a Heisman in 1963.

If he’s as good as you think he is then he’ll be leaving the Cowboys along with McCarthy and Prescott In 2025. He has to want to be a NFL General Manager which is a position already filled with the Dallas Cowboys. He’ll have to go elsewhere.

Don’t put words in my mouth amber.
I like Will. A lot.
But you’re as much off your rocker as another old guy we know if you think 1, McClay had ANHTHING to do with talking Jerry into Columbo, and 2, you’re trying to use Marc Columbo as an example of a great FA addition.
That’s laughable

It’s not about hating. If he has skills to build a successful NFL roster some teams will be interested in hiring him as General Manager. You can’t fault a person for wanting to further their career.

One guy the 29 pick of the draft who was injured his whole career in chi man that WM is brilliant in 2005 when he was just a scout, did he say Jerry I found a gem for you and Jerry said Will you are a legend already. Fact is that was a BP signing using the Al Davis creed it’s worth taking a chance on a player who was drafted in the first round by another team you never know what you might get. So all you have is a guy in 2005 when WM had zero input to player acquisition. Folks you just can’t make up stuff like this lol

You’ve completely taken it off topic and I really don’t know what you’re talking about now. Who said anything about trying to further their career? You haters are the worst.
