Even better was he called huim Alworth and said TO was doing this during practice when in reality he did it before practice and his teamates were watching and laughing not practicing

I was at that practice and can tell you that, as usual, Owens was the last player to take the field and he went over to the bike and took off his sweatshirt to reveal the Team Discovery shirt and then put on his helmet and rode for 10 or 15 minutes DURING practice. (I had binoculars so I was able to see what was going on.)

Most of the fans didn't notice what was going on since the bikes are so far away and I doubt very many of the players noticed it either from their vantage point, plus they were very busy practicing...they practice at a very rapid pace, not alot of standing around.
