For being a disciple of Ratliff?
What does that even mean?
For being a disciple of Ratliff?
• Broaddus: I watched him in non Marinelli system and it wasnt the same player. He needs Marinelli
.
This is what I've been saying on here for 2 weeks. I don't trust this guy without Marinelli.
give me
Dee Ford
Davante Adams
Telvin Smith
Ben Gardner
In the first four rounds and i think the Cowboys are in the playoffs this yr.
Perhaps, but you have to admire his gumption. He was a scrapper!
Im sure a guy like Leon Lett has learned the system by now if Marinelli decides to walk. But i have a feeling Marinelli is in Dallas for few yrs. Its the system that uses Meltons strengths.
Chicago went in a totally different direction this past yr on defense. More traditional 4-3
It's not only the system LM, it's the personality and coaching style of Marinelli. Trust me, I went to school with Henry. I know what kind of guy he is. He's not a bad guy or criminal or anything, he just really needs to be pushed constantly. As long as Marinelli is here, he'll be good. Otherwise, if we clean house we need to let him go too.
Is Ford a 3 down guy? I heard people say they don't like him in the first.
Do you think Smith is big enough to play the WLB in the NFL?
When the Cowboys signed McClain and Mincey, many on the board started crying the Cowboys had failed. Now with the signing of Melton FA is a success. I don't think anybody on the board knows the Cowboys plan for FA and the draft. Once FA is over and the draft is completed, then everything comes into focus and a much better judgment can be made about the success/failure of FA. So far, who can really criticize what has been done? FA is still in the third quarter and the draft is still several weeks away.
Whos to say lett couldnt? Think fans need to get that whole clean house word out of their system. Jerry is never going to clean house. He will spend every dime he can to win that yr. Wrong or right he's going to spend.
So they were not sexy moves. They were prudent moves. Why be critical of that unless you just want your daily shot at ___________________ (fill in the blank).
I could see the Cowboys not drafting a DT. I wouldnt really like that idea but it could happen. I think Dallas has plans for Mincey to play more then just DE but that 3tech too.
RD1 Dallas i think has a play at BPA, even if its WR or QB.
If one of the top QBs fall i think they would jump on him.
If Evans fell i think they would get alot of calls to trade with BAL right behind DAL.
A player like Zack Martin would further solidify a up and coming OL and allow Bernadeau to go back to backup, and even backup C.
Mosely or Barr would be a pick Dallas could really use to improve.
Even in a trade down i could see them picking up a LBer in Shazier. Or a DE in Ealy or Crichton.
I really think DT is off the books for DAL in RD1.
McClain said he can play both defensive tackle spots in a 4-3 defense and he's also versed in the 3-4 scheme. He likes Marinelli's role for him as the three-technique along the line that was boosted by the signing of Henry Melton on Tuesday.
"Just the fast-paced, get off the ball, get after the quarterback every play," McClain said of Marinelli's defensive scheme. "If you have good quickness off the ball and good footwork you can rally make a difference in the system."
I have no problems with any moves the Cowboys have made thus far inthe offseason.
Oh I wouldn't be surprised if the Cowboys do not draft a DT in the first round.
If I had to vote, I'd go with a trade down and a DE chosen in round 1.
sounds to me we need to find some competition for Hayden.
they had Zach Martin on Sirius this afternoon and he said he had been ND's emergency center the last 3 years. Did not know that - must mean he practiced at that position but did not play
