Tapper has pars defect

Well, that sucks for Tapper and the Cowboys

Was anyone else yelling at the TV , when Joshua Perry and Sheldon Day had fallen to us there and we instead took Tapper?

Yep. The fact that they weren't able to find something "since childhood" before drafting is huge. Signing and drafting 2 DE's with big off the field issues and NOT paying a guy that helped win a super bowl 2 years after he left....Management. My hatred for Jerry Jones grows year after year, to the point where I wish he'd just ******* die. "Gasp! Surely you don't mean that, do you?" .....I do.

The Cowboys selected Tapper in the fourth round in hopes of him joining their defensive line rotation, but whatever help he can bring will have to wait.

Tapper said he does not feel too far behind despite the missed practice time. He has been staying up on things in the meetings and watching film. He said he needs to get his weight back up and work on his conditioning.

“I’m back running and everything, cutting,” Tapper said. “It’s just day by day right now. As soon as the trainers say I can play, I’m playing.”

Really, I was talking about a CT full body scan! Actually takes about 30 seconds, on the table! Doctors will see these defects and other problems before stuff like this happens! Sure, it's probably around $1k, but look at what the team would save later!

Everybody else was, yes they finally drafted a DE!

Nobody coulda caught this one. Michael Irvin played about 10 years with a narrow spine. Nobody caught it.

How many players in the league DO NOT have some kind of minor injury they are playing through? With guys like Sean Lee and Ron Leary you know about it but I would say the vast majority of the players do. These threads are silly, Tapper has had this his whole life and played through it. Now that he is close to returning to playing we have people acting like he is in the last days of Stage 4 cancer. Its beyond silly.

The funny thing is that this year the team has left training camp healthier than others, but once these threads become a meme some people act like its law.

Yeah, for all I know, Perry and Day may bust. They seemed like steal in the 4th to me.

I honestly didn't know enough about Tapper to compare him.
Apparently, neither did the Cowboys
Hopefully it'll be ok

Yep, the guy says he is about ready to get back into full practice, yet people here think he is on his death bed. He may not be ready for week one but I bet he plays week two.

I was a big Perry advocate

Yea I hate reading these threads. People saying he should retire, when just today tapper said he's almost ready to go

Backs are not that important, or so I was told leading up to the draft.

And don't listen to these folks going on about spondylosis. That's a cartoon character who lives in a pineapple under the sea.
