So he admitted having a history of spasms and Dallas shouldn't be blamed for not performing an MRI which could've easily detected this issue?

That's not how it happened. Tapper was just fine at camp- in fact, he was just "coming on"- until he woke up one morning with the back issue. He had the MRI at that point, which is when he reported having the spasms in college that never really bothered him much.

Remember, he also had to check out fine at the scouting combine as well, and as far as I know, no team had any medical issues about Tapper that affected his status on their draft boards. This is just an unfortunate incident, but maybe a very fortunate one for Tapper in that it was discovered before he sustained a really serious injury.

LOL. Lawrence is basically claiming he has no limitations.

Did Jerry confuse Lawrence and Tapper? LOL.

Sucks that he failed to mention these spasms until after being paid millions of dollars.

Actually, I thought there were some reports of teams having some medical questions about him before the draft. Maybe I am confusing him with someone else but there was one article wondering a guy who was a combine freak at that size would slip that low and it was opined that some teams flagged his medical records for some reason.

The FO (Jerry) has always treated the Defense like a stepson. Maybe, next draft he will finally get serious about the clubs biggest need. Defense. He must be satified with this offense?? OK maybe an OT and a burner at WO. Please draft defense next time around!!

Any chance we can trade Romo or McFadden for some DE help? Could potentially make a huge difference for the team overall.

This offseason the front office was obsessed with recreating 2014. They drafted Zeke to be DeMarco Murray 2.0 and planned on protecting Romo and a suspect defense with a run-heavy, ball control scheme.

The good news is, they might've stumbled (possibly lucked into) the future franchise QB. And it looks like Maliek Collins is a potential keeper at DT, so there are some defensive pieces to build around.

Just confused how he could have a set back when he has done nothing to be set back from.

Agreed. And this Prescott has been a very big surprise at least to me. If he turns out that will make the defensive future much more promising.

Nothing I said would lead someone to think I was being anti-Tapper.

Well, I took it that way and I'm no fool. So far at least two other "likes" took it that way as well. But hey, it's internet communication, it ain't perfect.

I really hope Jaylon Smith recovers well and it could be one of the best drafts ever. Also, I don't want to sound negative, but I would be surprised at this point if we ever get any consistent play out of Tapper.

We should really try to trade Sanchez or McFadden for a semi decent pass rusher.

The problem is finding a team willing to part with a semi-decent pass rusher for one of those guys. Seattle would probably like to have McFadden with Thomas Rawls out a while, but they aren't giving up a great player for him. Sanchez would be a good fit for New England or Cleveland, who need a healthy backup, but until Romo comes back, who's backing up Dak?

Well, that sucks.

I'm more surprised that college players don't go through a routine MRI before the draft. I don't know why I thought they would, but still.

I'm guessing there's a procedure or something?

McFadden would get you very little in return.

Romo is untradeable because the Cowboys do not have the cap space to absord Romo's bonus money that would be immediately charged to this year's cap.

I was thinking that, but how would they know where to check? MRI's are done to check specific injuries. Maybe they could just do the common football problem areas- knees, back, feet, shoulders, stuff like that.

I don't know what you people are babbling on about.

Garrett says he is "day to day". Gosh.
