Maybe the Cowboy should insist on some medical tests when they bring in players before a draft. Bone density scans, X-rays, and MRI's so nothing is hidden.

Well, that sucks.

I'm more surprised that college players don't go through a routine MRI before the draft. I don't know why I thought they would, but still.

I'm guessing there's a procedure or something?

Wouldn't even require an MRI ($$$$$).
Oblique views of the lumbar spine show pars defects clearly on regular X-rays ($).

It would be irresponsible if various screening films were not required before offering a college scholarship.

Again, just IR him at this point.

The DE position is a total cluster bomb and it all leads back to the front office and their bizarre method at addressing one of their stated biggest needs this offseason.

Im highly irritated with the front office too. They were only able to get us our QB and RB, maybe DT and maybe LB of the future this draft. Sorry sons of guns.

Although in all seriousness I did want Freeney lol.

Freeney isn't injured. He got himself a sack yesterday. Can we trade for him? I like him and that linebacker laurenitus.

Yeah.

And they said in February that their biggest need on defense to fix DE and the pass rush. How'd that turn out?

Pretty badly lol. In all honesty the team had alot of holes and they werent all going to be fixed in one offseason. We are actually pretty fortunate with what they did. They were planning on going DE in 2 and had thier guy taken. I agree it was handled poorly. But I hesitate to punk on them this year because I think the draft was a homerun.

Read it closer. I said the method at which they went about fixing one of their stated big needs was bizarre. It's bigger than just Tapper.

They claimed in Feb that pass rush was a problem and they had to fix it. 6 months later, as they head into August camp, they built a DE depth chart that included ONLY ONE PROVEN NFL DE, and he was a known 4 game suspension back in April. They had chances to sign some key vets early, they passed. They had a chance to grab a situational DE in Freeney that would have definitely helped the pass rush. They passed. They put faith in Randy Gregory knowing that was arguably one of the riskiest decisions they could have made. They signed a two time cast off and tried to sell him as this uber talented, diamond in the rough guy.

And here we sit, Week 3, and our DE depth chart is a mess. The rookie we were counting on is likely done for the season. The savior, that everyone keeps claiming will fix everything, Lawrence, apparently also has some sort of physical issue that Jerry claimed today will need monitoring. Let's also note he had surgery in February and it was reported at that time his back was worse off than they thought. So they had advanced info on this and still chose to do what they did at DE.

They have a 3 Tech in Irving trying to play DE. They just had to move Crawford back to DE. And at this point, the real hope at getting any production out of the DE spot now rests in the hands of a guy the Jags cut a few weeks ago.

So yeah, the front office's plan to fix their biggest need on defense according to them was beyond bizarre.

I don't always agree with you. Didn't agree with you on the selection of Zeke @4.

But one thing I will say about you, you definitely provide solid information to support your position. I may disagree with the interpretation (though not in this case), but I admire the fact that you at least mount a credible argument for why you arrive at the position you do.

Kudos.

LOL. Lawrence is basically claiming he has no limitations.

Did Jerry confuse Lawrence and Tapper? LOL.

That's impossible -- lest we forget, that man has a 40-year old brain . . . :)
