You know what else you cant make up? the135th pick in the draft is playing like an early MVP candidate.can't make this stuff up..
Looks like Tapper isn't going to be returning from his back injury anytime too soon. Hopefully somebody can find more details.

Horrible news, our only hope now rests with the return of Lawrence and improvement with Mayowa/Davis/et al.
why does this team always draft injured players?
Well, that sucks.
I'm more surprised that college players don't go through a routine MRI before the draft. I don't know why I thought they would, but still.
I'm guessing there's a procedure or something?
Again, just IR him at this point.
The DE position is a total cluster bomb and it all leads back to the front office and their bizarre method at addressing one of their stated biggest needs this offseason.
In the teams defense they did not know about the pre-existing injury until he hurt his back. No team not even Combine Medical saw this.why does this team always draft injured players?
You know, that is a distinct possibility.LOL. Lawrence is basically claiming he has no limitations.
Did Jerry confuse Lawrence and Tapper? LOL.
Im highly irritated with the front office too. They were only able to get us our QB and RB, maybe DT and maybe LB of the future this draft. Sorry sons of guns.
Although in all seriousness I did want Freeney lol.
Yeah.
And they said in February that their biggest need on defense to fix DE and the pass rush. How'd that turn out?
Read it closer. I said the method at which they went about fixing one of their stated big needs was bizarre. It's bigger than just Tapper.
They claimed in Feb that pass rush was a problem and they had to fix it. 6 months later, as they head into August camp, they built a DE depth chart that included ONLY ONE PROVEN NFL DE, and he was a known 4 game suspension back in April. They had chances to sign some key vets early, they passed. They had a chance to grab a situational DE in Freeney that would have definitely helped the pass rush. They passed. They put faith in Randy Gregory knowing that was arguably one of the riskiest decisions they could have made. They signed a two time cast off and tried to sell him as this uber talented, diamond in the rough guy.
And here we sit, Week 3, and our DE depth chart is a mess. The rookie we were counting on is likely done for the season. The savior, that everyone keeps claiming will fix everything, Lawrence, apparently also has some sort of physical issue that Jerry claimed today will need monitoring. Let's also note he had surgery in February and it was reported at that time his back was worse off than they thought. So they had advanced info on this and still chose to do what they did at DE.
They have a 3 Tech in Irving trying to play DE. They just had to move Crawford back to DE. And at this point, the real hope at getting any production out of the DE spot now rests in the hands of a guy the Jags cut a few weeks ago.
So yeah, the front office's plan to fix their biggest need on defense according to them was beyond bizarre.
Sucks that he failed to mention these spasms until after being paid millions of dollars.
LOL. Lawrence is basically claiming he has no limitations.
Did Jerry confuse Lawrence and Tapper? LOL.
