Wow, how could you possibly know this? That's harsh man, he seemed like a good guy to me but I guess I have no way of truly knowing that either (self touch'e)

The hatred runs deep for some sir.

hated him after the Vick thing. Choice not only sucks as a football player, but he sucks as a human being. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

This is when people take it too far. I'll let you in on a little secret, you don't really know how the players are as human beings so who are you to judge?

Here's another secret, we as fans take losses harder than do the players. Why? Because we have been fans of teams for 10,20,30+ years and the players have only their contracts that bind them and that's what they're playing for.

If one of our star players gets traded then the next team will be his favorite team you know the one that cuts the check.

How many time have you been pissed after a close loss only to see the players chatting it up after the game like the are at a company picnic?

I said all of that to say this "don't get so involved in this game to where you are saying someone that you don't even know 'sucks as a human' because it ain't even that serious".

This move means a lot to me.

+ Carter - Choice

You get rid of a player who was constantly and consistently COSTING us games, and his production was just garbage. Finally we have a situation where if we run the ball it's not a waste of a play.

Carter on the other hand has the talent to take our defense to another level. Rob Ryan is really going to use this guy. He has to get used to playing, but he has been studying this defense in film and has been doing non physical reps all year. I expect for him to make a difference this year. Sean Lee was slowed last year by what seems to be constant injuries. I think Bruce can have a stronger year 1. People confuse him being on PUP with just now being cleared to practice. He was cleared a long time ago. He probably could have played in the season opener.

He'll probably sign with a division foe to try and get back at the 'boys. Commanders or Eagles come to mind. He needs to be careful with that though because they will juice him for his inside info then cut him after they lose to us anyway. ;)

Good luck to him unless he signs with one of our rivals.

A lot of teams have injured running backs. I could see him going to Cleveland.

I agree, but I still think you have to cut a kicker that can't make field goals with any consistency when you have another one that can, before you kick a running back that can at least pick up a blitz. Cut the kicker and take whatever you can get for Choice, or keep him for insurance. That would have been the right move.

Buehler isn't here to make field goals, despite being forced into that role by Folk's collapse. He's here to keep opponents from starting beyond their 20-yard line. He's here to keep good kick returners from breaking long returns.

That's more valuable than spelling backs averaging over 4 yards per carry with one averaging 2.7.

Had high hopes for Choice, but it's easy to understand why Dallas would release now.

Not sure how that is exaggerated...

He barely gets carries yet at least 2 of his fumbles have put us in positions to lose games, and his running out of bounds nearly cost us a game.

He cost us a huge game in New England

2 fumbles this year on 28 carries...

1 fumble in 5 carries against the Commanders last year.

Running out of bounds against the Commanders, almost cost us the game.

He doesn't fumble against the Patriots, and we win the game, this defense is praised as elite, and Romo is elevated to higher ranks. Instead we have to keep hearing what a %$%^# team this is...

That is too many mistakes from a guy with limited participation...

Maybe Choice can find success else where. Choice might be able to live his dream of playing the same back field with Vick if he goes to the Eagles.

Guy has fumbled 3 times in his entire career here. We won the game where he made a mistake and ran out of bounds, and his fumble against NE was in the first quarter.

How is it a gross exaggeration?

Simply put.. he's not constantly and consistently costing us games.

Also, saying if he doesn't fumble in the first quarter against NE, we win the game.. is another silly exaggeration.

In the last two years when he has had opportunities he has lost us games.

a 3rd string running back cant fumble the ball 3x....

a veteran can't run out of bounds there, that could have lost us the game.

We throttled the Patriots, and one drive made a difference... Choice's fumble was a difference maker.

He did it again against the rams, and the game was NOT over when it happened.

People tend to be praised or hated for what they do most recently. Let's face it... 2008 and 2009 were his best years and his production has decreased each of the following years. I don't think he cost us those games, but it certainly didn't help his value here at Dallas. I have nothing against him, but his days were numbered and Murray and Tanner are on the rise.

Good luck T. Choice. I think the Cowboys did him a favor by cutting him. He will be picked up by another team. I remember on this forum a lot of people loving T. Choice over Barber. The kid wanted to play so I wish him the best.
