Tashard Choice Cut - Bruce Carter Activated

One of the game winning drives was to a qb that may go down as the best to ever play the game. Before that we held them to 13 points.

The other was after the Romo pick that was intended for Witten and it gave them a short field.

I don't know what the points against would be without pick 6's, short fields, and punt blocks but I guess every defense has those.

But I'm a Ryan homer so take it for what it's worth.

We know at least 21 points were the offenses fault (blocked punt @ NY, 2 pick and run backs vs Detroit) which would reduce our total points allowed to 107. This would be 3rd in the league. Average points per game would seem to be a better indicator and it would be 17.83 points per game after adjustment which would put them as 4th in the league. This is still skewed because I didn't adjust the other teams total points for points given up by their offenses and/or special teams.

Does anyone give stats adjusted like I did above? I don't know where the Cowboys D would fall if every defense had special team and offensive TD's removed but I suspect the Cowboys are leading in this category.

Yup, no question about it. Our defense has been very very good for us.. even in the 4th quarter despite what some would have you believe.

I don't think they were great, Sanchez is a crappy QB and their offense is not very good. That said, I think the main reason they were not great is because our corners were beat up. If we played them now, I think we'd hold them to 10.

I'd say our D was pretty good, our offense was pretty good and our special teams blew the game. If you only want to look at points, the D allowed 17, the offense scored 21 (24 but -3 for the INT that led to a FG), the difference was special teams giving up a TD, imo.

Did you forget the fact that Sean Lee returned an int to the 1 yard line?

The D played great giving up only 17 points and contributing directly to a TD by offense is great work.

I guess we saw enough of Tanner to know he's as good if not better option at 3rd RB. The only question remains is that when Felix returns will he see the field as the 3rd down back? No way we sit Murray now in favor of Felix. This Philly game will go a long way in telling us if Murray was a one hit wonder or a Franchise back

Sorry, but you should know better to not ask for an autograph of a player after the game.

You shoudl know better to not run hard for over a year until you fumble and you are on thin ice.

They've gone up against the 4th (NE: 20 pts), 5th (SF: 24), 6th (Det: 34 net =20), 11th (Jets: 27 net =20), 22nd (Wash: 16) and 32nd (Rams: 7) leading scoring offenses

On the outside the team is saying that Carter is more valuable to this team than Choice's recent contributions and his future potential.

And I would have to agree with them.

Choice is done here, he may have something left to offer another team. Best for Choice to have an opportunity elsewhere and I would rather keep Holley who has had positive contributions than Choice who has not.
