Tashard Choice...

Cowboys RB Tashard Choice has the Nos. 1, 2 and 3 rushing totals against the Steelers, Ravens and Giants, all of whom are among the 10 toughest run defenses in the league.

As Rotoworld's Gregg Rosenthal pointed out last week, much of Choice's production is coming off screens and shotgun draws. Still, the well-rounded rookie has yet to show a weakness while succeeding where more established backs have failed. Choice has greatly improved his Dynasty stock as a young backup with a Chester Taylor type of future.

I love this kid. I'd like to see touches pretty evenly split 3 ways next year between him, Felix and Marion.

Chester Taylor is a big jump. But it wouldn't surprise me. TC has got what it takes to play in this league. In fact, I'm starting to think he could carry the load if he had to.

I still think after next year either him or MB3 is going to become trade bait.

MB3. Tashard Choice can move laterally way better than Barber. Plus we'll need to trade away Barber's contract to make room to make the Right Choice in contract extensions, plus Felix the Cat!

Mark my words, Barber will be traded in the off season. Choice and Jones will be next years backs.

Keep Choice. Barber is a fan favourite but not as good on the field. I don't know if he is tradeable next year due to cap issues and that monstrousity of a contract - maybe in 2010 though. He can be Choice's backup and short yardage back next year and Felix can be the change of pace guy.

I say keep all 3...

Look at the NYG, I think next year we could be a run oriented offense and to have that many weapons at WR is just silly.

We need an OC, or Norv.

That's his problem - he doesn't know when to trade. He only trades things that he thinks are worthless and gets nothing in return. Instead, he should look to trade things he thinks are overrated and hope to get something good in return. Barber as a rep in the league, is young and is a fan favourite. If not for that horrible contract, he would have good trade value.

After we get rid of Barber, we can draft another guy in the mid-rounds with some of those extra picks.

When healthy, Barber plays his guts out and you guys just want to trade him away...

This isn't Madden.

Personally, I would have Tashard Choice as the starting back, use Marion Barber for 2nd and/or 3rd and short situations. Felix is always a good option for trickery.

I could care less how hard he plays - Choice plays better. That's the way football works - the better player plays and the inferior player backs him up.

Tell that to the: Colts, Giants, Eagles, Bucs, Saints, Steelers, Ravens, Jaguars, Patriots, Broncos, Cardinals, Chiefs, and Raiders, who've been either forced to, or have chosen to, use at least a 3 headed RB combination all year long.

Some use more.

I love me some MB3 can't wait until he's healthy next year.

I can't wait to see Felix running wild in the new stadium next year as well.

and I can't friggin believe it took the coaching staff this long to get Choice some quality carries... heck the NYG have a great 3 headed rushing attack... why not us? this is the NFC Beast... I knew when Choice got some attempts in pre-season he was going to be good, real good... Heck he even got yards in the first regular season game against the Brownies... He's got more quality work to do this season IMO. Let's go!, Let's go! (emphasis with quivering Cowher chin...no pun intended) :)~

that some people want to trade Barber. Talk about instant gratification/knee jerk reaction...

I like Choice. I like him alot. Having said that, Marion Barber is still better. Better blocker, better pass catcher, and yes, even a better runner. While Choice is a classic north/south runner with great vision, he doesn't have the strength and quickness that Barber has. Should Choice be included in the rotation even if it cost Barber some carries ? I have no problems with that. It would actually extend Barber's career, as well as Choice and Felix when he comes back next year. Still you don't trade a guy like Barber away just because Choice has turned out to be good RB.

Hell, with Felix coming back, all three could make the perfect attack combination. You have water ( Barber ) his running style is like trying to tackle liquid: it keeps slipping through your fingers and it's tough enough to erode rocks. Ground ( Choice ) his running style is like the answer to the question of what's the shortest distance between two points: straight line. Air ( Felix ), give him an inch and he'll fly by you.

All three are signed ( or the Cowboys own their rights in the case of Choice ) through the next 5 years, and all are 25 years or younger.

There's absolutely no need to do anything with them, except sit back and watch them perform.
