and where would that OL play?

There's no way in hell I'd even remotely consider trading Choice for a backup OL.

I'd deal him to kc for Brian waters right now. Waters would beat out kosier easily. Larry won't be in kc past this year and waters wants out

WHY OH WHY ARE WE ALWAYS BEING ASKED TO CHOOSE SIDES BETWEEN TWO PLAYERS? WE CAN LIKE BOTH! THEY ARE NOT MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE PLAYERS!

WHY CAN'T WE JUST BE HAPPY WITH BOTH INSTEAD OF ALWAYS HAVING TO PICK BETWEEN THE TWO AND BE IN THAT "CAMP"?

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR HULK SMASH

/rant off

Easy man it's just a discussion during the offseason.

Both will play, and both will contribute we all know that.

Heh. I'm just a little sensitive to the discussion, as an old scarred veteran of the QC-Hutch wars at DMN back in the day. Ever since then, I get tired of the "camps" that develop on the team. So when I see something like that, I start seeing green like Hulk.

If the question is simply who is going to produce more, I would say probably Felix. If I'm being asked to choosed to support one over the other, then HULK SMASH time.....

heh.

So who did you like better, QC or Hutch?..... ;) ;)

It's going to suck having to unload Barber, since his style of backs dont last long, but he's not that old.

He's 26 right now, I say he move him when he's 29-30, I dont know if Choice is going to ride the pine for that long and want to re-sign here.

I'm not even sure he'll last that long.

And unfortunately, with RBs, you want to be off their train too soon, rather than too late. I think another two years is all he'll have left in Dallas, unless we trade Choice.

Choice has a 4 year contract IIRC. So we have at least that long before deciding.

Felix Jones as the answer to both but I wouldn't mind, at all, if Choice stuck around here five or six years to help keep this an amazing running trio. Sadly in the future he'll be the featured, or at least in a 50/50 rotation, for another team.

:starspin I feel the same way. Unfortunately, Choice will probably not be in Dallas long enough to reach his full potential. If a team needs a running back and they make a good offer, Choice will be gone.

I could see this happening but I hope they keep T.C. on the team. I like having the depth. All it takes is one injury to put us in a bad way at running back if T.C. is not there. I also hope the coaching staff keeps their mind open about how he can be utilized. I think the guy will earn more carries if given the opportunity.

If they're wise in how they rotate them then I think they could use the different styles of each back to keep defenses guessing as well as constantly having a fresh set of legs in the back field to boot.

Choice needs to be dealt for picks or OL help. I would rather trade barber but his contract is too big. I like TC but we have one back too many

I've been thinking that would be a good option too T31.

With our depth at OL being so suspect, I'd think shopping Choice right now while his stock is up, would be an obvious, well for lack of a better word, choice.

In retrospect, I'd choose castration if those are my choices.

Incidentally, am I the only one here who was purged and banned by Ebutcher at DMN?

Felix, barring injury, is the better back. He can cut as well as Choice and has more speed.

You simply can't teach speed. With a junk here and there, Choice will get you the tough yards. With a junk here and there, Felix will get you the touchdown.

I wouldn't worry about down the road. Running backs are a dime a dozen. You can always find them in the draft.

First, not sure KC would want him since they have Johnson and Charles, but if they did want Choice for Waters that would be a better deal for them than us. Waters is 32 and has no upside at all. He makes and wants alot of money too.

I wouldnt do that deal.

Felix is more exciting, electrifying, .. can score from anywhere.

But TC is more durable, solid, dependable because of his style of running.

We need to be smart with the number of touches that FJ gets in the season, the way Landry used to do with Dorsett.

Yes, the temptation is to run them alot because they are such a threat from anywhere, ... but by overusing them, it actually detracts from what they do so well.

They get tired legs, little nicks and injuries here and there which keep them from being what they can be.

In a few years it will be obvious that TC is a solid, dependable, every down back. He will be a very good NFL RB in the years ahead.

I think as teams get a steady dose of bang, bang, thump, pound the ball football from MB3 & TC, .. then we sprinkle FJ in every few plays and take a shot at a big play. Use him wisely to keep him healthy and as much of a threat as always.

I seen Barber have great games and I’ve seen him sub-par, like every RB. I like having the option of throwing in Choice if the Barbarian can’t find a rhythm. And then Felix, of course, to keep them guessing.

Choice should start.

Bring in Felix with Choice and on special plays and to spell Choice.

Barber gets all short yardage, goal line and late third and all of the fourth quarter.

But play all three together at times.

But play all three is the important thing.

I like the Barber idea, but I would name him the starter. Have Felix or Choice come in after a series, and whoever runs better on that day would get more carries. Then Barber comes in and does his closer thing. Of course this doesn't take into account the catches Felix should get.
