If the punt is going to land in our own redzone, Beasley goes in. He's smart enough to know when to not be a hero and let it go, I don't remember the last time he made a bad decision on faircatch, let it bounce, Fire-call type stuff. And down inside the 20, I'm way more concerned with that than some heroic return.

Keep in mind we do still get pinned deep but that's not bad decisions by Beasley necessarily, that's just special teams. As Picard said, "It is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose. That is not weakness, that is life"... er, special teams.

But Austin is the guy they go with when there is room to operate and so he only has to focus on one thing while waiting on the ball: identifying his plan of attack.

Austin definitely helped flip the field returning the ball. He also should of had a TD. ST is very important and can change momentum of a game. I hope Tavon keeps playing well.

He didn’t return last punt which was a good one to return
I think he had more return yards last night than Beasley had for his career

You ain't kidding about WV Tavon. Saw him in a shootout against Oklahoma his last year there. Dude had 4 TDs and then almost took one to the house on the last play of the game to win it.

I too am interested to see if they could put a package of receiving plays together for the next game for him. Something the other team won't have tape on.

I don’t get want to see Beas take a punt again...Austin still has it.

I’d also love to see more of him as a WR...he’s not a great route runner, but is an electric player that would give us another field stretcher.

It was quite refreshing to not see Fair Catch Cole back there last night! Lord... What a spark!

Tavon when healthy is the most electrifying player on this team. Unfortunately he has been injured a lot. If used correctly Austin in the slot next year with Cooper and Gallup could be a deadly combination.

His speed is like no other on this team. The way he zipped down the field on those two punt returns was amazing.

I think Jeff Heath cut him off on the second big return, otherwise he could have had a TD.

Punt returners have big days against booming punters and if they play in LA, he’ll go against a boomer in Johnny Hekker

If Dallas needs Noah Brown they are in trouble. Brown once NEARLY caught a cold... but he dropped it.

Not much of a choice at this point. Beasley and Austin are banged up.

Just his speed on the field opens up the field for others. It looked like to me when he and cooper were on the field together they paid more attention to Austin than cooper.

I know but it looked like his foot tapped the top of the defenders foot that was behind him which threw off his pace. He should handle the punt return duties from now on. Austin needs more snaps from the slot. Let him run the same routes that Beasley runs. If Austin will concentrate on selling his routes look out because he has the speed and quickness to take it to the house every time.

Has he ever returned kicks? Cowboys need help in that area.

Hes been doing that since college. He did some with the rams too. No one ever said he wasn't a good returner , he's just not a number 1 receiver

Probably not the first micro aggression Heath is guilty of

The term # 1 receiver is exclusionary and offensive to the other receivers. Id like to see a planet that recognizes all receivers as #1 receivers
