I sure hope the rumors were not true earlier in the season about a team giving up a first round pick for Martellus. If so, add that to Jerry's wonderful resume. Bennett sure looks expendible to me. Looked like "Da Cricket" was more of a contributer yesterday than Bennett has been.

Congratulations on your 7th post.

You don't build successful teams by trading away your impressive young talent just for the opportunity to draft other young talent.

Bennett is an pro bowler and a lock for the HOF. Jason Garrett just does not know how to use him.....

:lmao2:

What? I wouldn't trade Bennett for 2 first rounders. Where would we be without his 15 catches, his contributions to the 2 te set, his sure hands, his brilliant twitter takes, the inane ramblings that only Marty B can deliver?

This guy has taken the te position to another level.

You also don't build successful teams by turning down first round draft choices for inconsistent backups that will never see the starting lineup before their rookie contract expires.

Are you going to come with some input or be a scared little puppy and just read other orginal thoughts. Your the Wade Phillips of this post.

We got Jason Witten...

If the price is right Bennett is expendable.

Almost as much "input" as your Opening post.

You typically let inconsistencies slide when you're talking about trading a player who is in the middle of their second season. You just don't trade talent that you've already evaluated and are high on for an opportunity to roll the dice on an unknown. Backup or not, the more talent you have on the team, the better off you are.
