Getting 40+ sacks from edge defenders would be insane, back in the day you expected 12-16 from RDE and if you got 10+ from your LDE you had a stud pass rush. Get an avg of 10+ from 4 guys would be absolutely killer.

Minny could not block them the entire game. Was a bit surprised at how easy this game was.

He only missed a few snaps and came back in. Looked fine but at this time of the year... everyone is banged up. Just limit your snaps in practice and get ready for Sunday.

What's the team single season records for totally team sacks ?

Even though the 1984 Bears have the record at 72, the 1985 Bears was a way better defense with 64 sacks. They had 8 less sacks but probably 200 more pressures.

With the way the offense is playing and considering the teams left on the schedule, I would be surprised if they do not accomplish that.

They are in the enviable position to force OC's and QB's to pass to play catch up and that plays right into their hands.

When I read that my mind went straight to Randy White.

I suppose its because of how good our DE's are rushing this season. The other Randy is dead to me I guess, didn't even register.

so Armstrong has now trumped RG 6.5 sack all-time best career sack total in week 11..iroinic how if you are available all yar and work hard , you succeed. hes improved every year hes been here.. RIP RG...DA looks a lot like Tank, his game is the same.. solid all-around game.. seems his mentor has helped him become a very similar player.

Oh!! Team sack records in general are almost impossible to find. Any search keeps bringing up individual stats. Unfortunately for us, the Cowboys team sack record was probably a year before they started keeping it as an official record. I'm guessing 1977. Harvey Martin had 23 by himself.

72 by 1984 bears which 12 in one game

Not to take anything away from the 1984 Bear defense. I think it was the best single season defense ever. But in 1984 most(not all) NFC offenses were low scoring, grind it out, ball control types. Not to mention, there were mostly pocket passers with less than elite running ability. With the ELITE athletic skills of QBs today, 72 sacks would be completely insane.
