If this team picks up his 5th yr option, I will be done with this franchise. I haven't missed a game in 18 years, I haven't missed a preseason game in 15 years. I grew up in the shadows of Texas Stadium. If they continue to invest in his scrub, I will be done. Simple as that. I can't support soft football.

I know you're pissed man but I can't help but laugh at the awesomeness of your observation. Sometimes you just have to laugh at it when you can't control it.

I still can't figure out what his supporters see in him. He walks around the field like he is a pro bowler but he gives up play after play and can't defend a pass or get an INT to save his life.

I was never on the Hate Byron Jones bandwagon. I felt like he did some good things and some occasional bad things. But I am beginning to come over to that side.

The team acted like it quit today and he was right up there at the top of that quit list. B

All I want for Christmas is NO Bryon Jones thread after a lost game proclaiming Jones to be a bum. Been there, done that, wash rinse, repeat.

He is a decent NFL safety, likely to never be a great player , but usually a scapegoat for other problems .

He's been getting knucklehead late penalties, misses tackles, horrible angles, can't play in space. Probably the worst traits to have as a free safety. He could get by as a strong safety.

The penalty on his was nonsense and show me more than one missed tackle today.

He completely shut down Ertz last week and was saving the defense today until the corner play was so bad that it couldn't be saved.

If you think he's a bad safety, you know nothing about the safety position whatsoever and are easily dismissed as lacking credibility.

I seriously don't know what game you're watching.

Outside of the TD pass he was fine.

Our corners and Heath were dreadful.

I'm watching the same game you are. I just have an appreciation for defenders that are sound tacklers. It's glaringly obvious to anyone who watches our games that this guy is scared of contact.

I'm giving up on watching this team myself - not necessarily strictly because of Garrett/Jerry/the mediocrity of the Cowboys, but also the state of the NFL for various reasons.

But Byron Jones being the deciding factor seems like a wildly obscure and asinine hill to die on. I'll die on the Clapper's hill myself!

he can't tackle worth a **** and he's a ***** (MEOW)

he'd get destroyed at strong safety

when was the last time Byron Jones delivered a big hit on a running back?
