I agree, but some CZ members are notorious for it. Detroit is dealing with a ton of injuries as well but have still managed a 12-1 record. Dallas (Jerry) simply sucks at dealing with adversity.
Goes to show that Dallas does not have the depth or the talent as they tell us. But we all knew that anyway.
Also shows what great coaching and innovative schemes can do. Both what Dallas lacks, and have for a long time.

As former Cowboys head coach Bill Parcells famously once said, “You are what your record says you are.” The Cowboys are 5-7, 3rd in the NFC East and by a thread still mathematically in the playoff race, but they have a putrid -91 point differential. I’m not one who sees this team as anything beyond a below average team. And the team‘s stats bear that out.

As we all know, stats can tell us a lot but can also mislead. But looking at the Cowboys through 12 games, these team stats seem to be a fairly accurate tale of what this team is. Here are the offensive and defensive TEAM stats and how they rank in the NFL this year:

OFFENSE
  • Total yards per game: 322 yards per game. Ranked 22nd.
  • Total points per game: 20.7 Ppg. Ranked 21st.
  • Passing yards per game: 236 yards per game. Ranked 12th.
  • Rushing yards per game: 86 yards per game. Ranked 31st.
  • 3rd down conversions: 35.44%. Ranked 24th.
  • Time of possession: 28:48. Ranked 29th.
  • Turnover differential: -7. Ranked 27th.
  • Point differential: -91. Ranked 27th.
DEFENSE
  • Total yards per game: 360 yards per game. Ranked 26th.
  • Total allowed points per game: 28.3 ppg. Ranked 29th.
  • Passing yards per game: 212 yards per game. Ranked 13th.
  • Rushing yards per game: 148 yards per game. Ranked 31st.
  • 3rd down conversion rate: 34.88 %. Ranked 6th. (Surprising. But it also shows that teams are making big plays on 1st and 2nd down)
  • Time of possession: 31:12. Ranked 29th.
  • Interceptions: 9. Ranked 12th.
  • Sacks: 33. Ranked 10th.
It’s fairly clear this is a team with problems on both sides of the ball. But it is also more accurate to say this team’s defense (when healthy) is better than the offense. And while the defense STILL has major problems stopping the run, its sack and interception numbers are above average. To me the message is clear: This offense is really bad. Averaging 20 points a game will get you beat most of the time.
The sad thing is. The front office will overlook these facts. As they think they are still hanging around the rim.

The injuries started before the season started. And has not stopped.
I don't at a red light coming only.

The German's had tons of hidden secrets and were vicious. Russia, North Korea, and the Middle East hide the extent of criminality intended and the sophistication involved and worked hard upon.

This is football and I am a loyal fan. I keep faith.

With that said we are in a stretch that lines up perfectly for the cowboys. We just beat the Giants who are more putrid than us. Playing a 4-8 Bengals team whose defense is just as bad and have a hurt QB. Then another putrid team in panthers that again are worse than Cowboys. So this team could be sitting at 7-7 after 14 games.

The last 3 games get interesting. Will they have enough to beat Tampa? We beat Commanders at their home can we rise to the occasion again? And then the Eagles which depending on playoff seeding could sit their starters if a win doesn't change their seeding.

So we could conceivably finish 10-7 if stars alugn and there is a chance they could.

But we are still a crappy team. Even if somehow we make the playoffs we are a first round eliminated team.

I get that all that is possible. But this team has still had major problems offensively. The last two weeks, we've scored 61 points, but 21 of those points were defense and STs.

I will believe this team is capable of being a playoff team when they actually do it.

No, no, no BH, it's all Dak's fault. Dak is the problem. That is what a majority say around here. Get rid of Dak, and this team will be fixed.

Detroit's injuries are primarily to the defense. Dallas has had their injuries spread out amongst defense and offense.

If you look closer at Detroit's defense it has benefited from playing bad offenses masking their injuries Chicago, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, and Tennessee. When they played better offenses Minnesota, Houston, and Green Bay they gave up an average of 26 points. Buffalo is up this week and I predict they give up over 30 points.

If the injuries had been spread out amongst the offense take away Goff, and some of their offensive lineman and all of the sudden Detroit is in huge trouble of the season being a failure.

Injuries matter when it's to one position group. At one point Dallas was starting their 5th and 6th best DEs. Then the CBs got dinged and all of sudden it's Diggs and 5th and 6th best corners.

I wish Zimmer had a chance this year to coach the defense with their starters intact. I guarantee the defensive stats would be among some of the league best.

Yes Mike McCarthy solely responsible as a head coach and an offensive coordinator for the offensive woes around here you literally cannot use injuries up until recently to say that he misused Rico and hunter overused Vaughn and Elliott didn't use Turpin when we really needed some juice I mean you got cooks out you don't have anybody else stepping up at wide receiver and you don't try to at least use Turpin like downfield in space?!!!

Mike Zimmer has an excuse you're right I mean we had 18 injuries most of it was all at 2 positions on defense and then scattered around on defense it literally hard to run a brand new defense out on the field let alone when it just got hole shot all over it so he's trying to adjust to one off season of making a total switch at defensive coordinator in on defense and then have all those injuries from day one when you lose bland before the season starts and Sam Williams which was gonna be your makeup depth most likely for Armstrong or Fowler and you lose both of them before you play one game and then it just was dominoes from there every week more guys going down....

So one has an excuse and the other doesn't..
Detroit defense has had more injuries then us so don’t use that excuse!

Passing Yards per game is actually ranked 7th, not 12th. The top ranked team is only 264 ypg, so numbers are down across the league.
I'd pull Turnover Differential and Point Differential out of offense and have them as team categories since it is dependent on both.

Roses are red,
A dime is ten cents;
I read what you wrote;
But it still makes no sense.
How creative, insult by poetry...

A warrior's focus but you were tripped up by lost focus.
Weapon....45 cal pistol and kills.
Gun ,,, shoots joy and kills joy as a result.

A lot of football history is lost using your guns  No, not boxing. Boxing was a required sport at the Academy. I was required to box heavy weight, unlimited, because I was a linebacker. Sorry that isn't a wrongly cherished stat.

Know what used by a military guard for an air field? In the Cav, a 12 gauge. We played football in service as well.
