Interesting.

Dak doesn't care about that. If they open the checkbook and offer 65 mil per, he would be gone faster than you could blink. There is not a chance in hell Dak would go to NY in those same circumstances with their media and fan base.
The Davidians always hate the mention of Romo unless they see an opportunity to bash him to prop Dak up.....I assume you are randomly bringing Romo into this because you realize you have painted yourself into a corner.
I can appreciate your feelings when it comes to the issues with our QB situation. I am just in a different place where the Cowboys being good or bad doesn't really change my life at all. It is just entertainment. I do watch every game I can, and while I am watching the game I get into it and root for all of our players to do well, but I just don't live or die by whether the Cowboys win or lose. I do understand those that do, I was that person for a long time. I carried a loss with me most of the next week. I am just not that willing to get that emotionally invested in any longer. Were you following the Cowboys in the mid to late 80s when they were struggling at QB? Or how about in the early 2000s when they didn’t have a QB after releasing Troy Aikman? Go look at their record during those years. This is why I don’t want to move on from Dak. We haven’t prepared ourselves for life without him. I don’t want go back to those days where we had a QB carousel and were missing the playoffs every season. I enjoy watching fun seasons where the team is competitive and has a chance. It’s no fun watching the team lose consistently and the only thing to look forward to is a high draft pick. It SUCKS when you have a lousy QB situation. The fans that think we currently do are being ridiculous.
You got me all wrong if you think my life is affected by the Cowboys being good or bad. I feel bad for anyone who lives or dies by their performances. That’s certainly not me. I actually get a laugh watching fans on this board meltdown after every Cowboys loss. As big a diehard Cowboys fan as I am nothing they do is going to affect my life. I’ve been following the team since the 1972 season. The very first Cowboys game I watched was Super Bowl VI. The Cowboys performances don’t affect me nearly as much as they did years ago. If Dak were to leave in free agency at the end of this season, I’ll be disappointed, but my life will go on and I will continue to follow the team and pull for whoever they have at QB.I can appreciate your feelings when it comes to the issues with our QB situation. PS: I have been a fan since the early to mid 70's
Maybe, but we know more of what this FO's ceiling is..28 years, you say you know what his ceiling is but have you seen him with an FO who doesnt have that ceiling for 20 years before he played for them?...Again do you believe Jerry the GM knows how to build a SB team? If so then for sure you can say what Dak's ceiling is...if not wouldnt it be correct to say thats this FO's ceiling? That's the problem. We already know that is Dak's ceiling.
The difference: They didn't have to pay Plunkett/Gannon a huge percentage of the salary cap.If Dak becomes available in free agency, no team will jump on him quicker than Mark Davis and the Raiders. They won a couple of Super Bowls with a veteran Jim Plunkett who moved onto the Raiders. They reached the Super Bowl with Rich Gannon who moved on to the Raiders. They’re one of the very few teams that have had success with veteran QBs that have moved on. Not sure any team will offer more money for Dak than the Raiders.

Yeah, if Watson stays healthy, he's a top 10-12 QB. People forget how good he was before the Peepeeslap.Damn they got Watson in the gutter with the rest of that trash? Sheesh…..
In other words, these could be potential teams for Dak to consider if there is no extension
"I'm a fan but I don't care if they are good or bad" is ridiculous lolI can appreciate your feelings when it comes to the issues with our QB situation. My point is there will be a place for Dak Prescott, but for substantially more money. If the Cowboys don’t want to pay it, fine. Some other team will. That’s how the league goes. Minshew has made the most out of his opportunity. Dak Prescott is going to make the most out of his. The only difference between them is about $200 million. You’re comparing Dak with Gardner Minshew? There’s always going to be a place for castoffs like Minshew because a number of teams don’t have a good QB situation and they need an experienced backup who’s won some games in the league. QB’s like Minshew can hang around for years.
I mean we saw him healthy last year and he was bad. We saw him healthy 2 years ago and he was bad. The last time he looked good was 4 years ago. The last time he was successful was 5 years ago.Yeah, if Watson stays healthy, he's a top 10-12 QB. People forget how good he was before the Peepeeslap.
There’s a place for Minshew as a backup QB, but the Raiders are forced to start him. If Minshew had made the most out of his opportunity he wouldn’t keep bouncing around. He wasn’t that impressive in preseason with the Raiders, but neither was the guy he was competing with so it was pick your poison for Vegas. There’s a huge difference between Dak and Minshew. If you can’t see that, I’m sorry. Not wasting any more time with this.My point is there will be a place for Dak Prescott, but for substantially more money. If the Cowboys don’t want to pay it, fine. The difference is those teams didn't invest in a QB. It's hard to believe Jerry would make that mistake again. Were you following the Cowboys in the mid to late 80s when they were struggling at QB? Or how about in the early 2000s when they didn’t have a QB after releasing Troy Aikman? Go look at their record during those years. This is why I don’t want to move on from Dak.
I’m surprised he’s not starting against the Browns on Sunday.Cooper Rush was 5-1, remember…. At that pace he would have made 12 wins easily with the sane squad, while having a noodle arm and being a back-up
In the mid 80s they had Danny White who was struggling to get the Cowboys over the hump. Landry tried to package some picks to Baltimore for John Elway but they turned it down. Landry did make a strong attempt to improve at the position. Things went real wrong when White suffered some sort of hand injury and was never the same. We tried Gary Hogeboom and he wasn’t any good. Then we got stuck with Steve Pelluer and that was the end for Tom Landry. Jerry had Troy Aikman but he kept suffering concussions and we had nothing behind him. Jerry should’ve invested a little bit higher pick the past four years on a QB. In the second or third round to at least have a better chance at landing one that might have a chance to develop into a starter. It’s left us in an uneasy position. The difference is those teams didn't invest in a QB. It's hard to believe Jerry would make that mistake again.
I will try to make it a little more clear for you. I am a fan of the Cowboys in that I do not follow any other team. I come here for all of my Cowboy updates."I'm a fan but I don't care if they are good or bad" is ridiculous lol
It doesn't change anyone's life, but how can you say you're a fan if you don't care if they are good? That makes no sense.
