I'm buying in from watching football since 1965. I know a good team when I see it and I like the way they built this team with youth. They certainly have as good a chance as anybody. They have overcome a lot to be at 8 and 3 and still have a shot at the number 1 spot in the NFC.
Good but not good enough.

The Rams have won 2 in their entire history and have moved their franchise 3 times. They got lucky last year and their luck has run out. They aren't going to win again in a long long time. The Cowboy plan of stock piling good young players is sound and is working.
27 years without a trophy says you are wrong in Spades. Good question for the Jones family.

You need to look at the last 2 years and look at where they are at today and where they are going.

We have 5. The Rams have 2. The Cowboys are good and have a good future. The Rams are awful and have a bad future going forward.

not sure if you’re being purposely dense, but obviously talking about another. i could stomach a few bad seasons in exchange for another title. especially after nearly 30 years

ok not sure if any are traded away, but going to list the teams currently up for the top ten picks.

1.Houston Texans 1-9-1
2.Denver Broncos 3-8
3.Chicago Bears 3-8
4.Los Angeles Rams 3-8
5.Arizona Cardinals 4-8
6.New Orleans Saints 4-8
7.Carolina Panthers 4-8
8.Green Bay Packers 4-8
9.Indianapolis Colts 4-7
10.Detroit Lions 4-7

other 4-7 teams more likely to win more games
Jacksonville Jaguars
Las Vegas Raiders
Pittsburgh Steelers
Cleveland Browns

So these teams hold the top 14 spots in draft, and probably should tank rest of way, but many
will keep trying to win games.
I think Houston is the only one tanking on purpose, and they probably wind up with #1 pick.

Dallas faces one of these teams, the colts sunday, I think colts would like to upset dallas,
but if they get down early I doubt they fight hard rest of game.
Their coach probably wants to win to keep his job, but depends on how owner feels about it.
They still have math chance for playoffs lol . but no realistic chance.

Rams are a surprise to be so low, I think they should go for the high draft pick, if it wasnt traded away.
even still, they would pick high in rest of rounds.
Similar for bears and broncos, might as well go for the higher draft picks than try to win more games.

be interesting to see who wins the high draft picks.

Fun to talk about the top teams, but bottom teams are interesting from this perspective.
They tanking or not? or are they just that bad?
Isnt Seattle getting the Denver pick? thanks to Wilson? Rams also traded ton of their 1sts doubt that theirs..i don't keep up nor care but sure that not the order

yeah I think sea did get denvers 1st, and rams traded theirs away.

But in tanking a team would still pick higher in each round after the 1st.
I dont see any advantage for continuing to try and win games for the rams. They need picks they have left
to be as high as possible.

in my yahoo game I am going to use this list and maybe not pick these teams to win close matchups.

I think all of us will be dead before the Rams have a number one draft pick ever again, lol. They went all in to get their Super Bowl victory so Kroenke can celebrate his Stadium finally opening with a Championship. But they mortgaged their future doing so- many lean years ahead with salary cap issues and few draft picks in the coming years. But he got his championship and I guess they can milk that for 5-10 years or so keeping ticket sales coming. Plus the Chargers paying rent.
I would not rule them out yet, have to see them next season when they should be healthy again.
Injuries hurt them and TB alot this year.

True and McVay is a good offensive mind, but they really went all in for that Championship and its going to be hard to restock and get depth built up with few picks upcoming, as well as salary cap issues. I am sure winning last year feels worth it still, but in a year or two it won't.

Been a fan since 1965 when I lived in Texas. Have had NFL Sunday ticket since it went live to follow the Cowboys. The only thing that matters is getting to the Super Bowl.

Those of us who haven't witnessed the Cowboys ever reach, let alone win a Super Bowl will take the Rams model every day and twice on Sundays. Losing seasons after wouldn't be any different

Lol. Tanks for higher 2nd and 3rd round picks. Weak. You tank in LA and you'll have empty stadiums on your hands and less season ticket interest. Particularly given the bar they set last year. Not a town that supports losing teams

The thing that matters is enjoying the ride and I have enjoyed it all the way from 1965 and Bob Hayes to today and Micah Parsons. It's awesome and we have a very good team and coaching staff. Enjoy the ride.

You had your bad season in 2020. They are in position to win now and or next year.

The Rams suck. They were just lucky last year. They could have easily lost and ended up with nothing for a decade or longer. They are in a very bad place.

rams are no model in team building.

Some fans here (and around the country) thought the Rams had discovered some magic elixir. Hey, let's trade away the future for what we can get now!

And in a blink...
-Stafford is now increasingly broken fading player
-Donald's sack total have fallen to five this year
-No team has worse bottom-half of a roster

Stafford is out for the season. I think that he is done and will retire soon and Donald will also. They will be in the running for the worst record in the league next year.
