If Tebow weren't such a polarizing figure, he'd be given a chance. But the truth is that every team knows that signing him brings a ton of baggage with it, and no backup player is worth that. Even if he were a good player, his talent can't live up to his celebrity. He should absolutely go to Canada if he wants to play QB.

I don't get him not wanting to play TE. He continues to bulk up like someone playing another position. He was always huge and when I saw him the other day, he was noticably bigger than last season.

If he'd just checked his ego and admitted that he is not an NFL caliber QB, he could have possibly developed into a decent TE or Hback.

Yea he wouldn't fit in here.Way too many DUIs, Vehicular Manslaughter, oh yeah and a mother beater on this team..I am a Cowboy fan but I truly do not get the hate for this young man.All he has ever done is quietly do whatever he was asked, no complaining, whining, or whatever while keeping his faith.Really this team could seriously use some more like him.He may or may not be a great QB but he certainly is a fine human being. In a league devoid of role models he was one.It was the media here that was constantly looking for him to fail that was the problem.Anyway I doubt we pick him up but really what would be hurt as a back up.He shows up, gives great effort and goes to church.I will never get the Tebow haters. There was a time when this was the kind of person the Cowboys were looking for. This reminds me of the Barry Switzer haters.Remember him--last coach to win a SuperBowl with the Cowboys......

Why hasn't anybody tried him at TE does he have hands of stone?

According to some tweets...when he was given permission to seek a trade some teams wanted to bring him as a TE and HE refused.

I'll take him on my team any time. And I would take him as a QB. I would use him in specific spots (3rd and 4th and inches, and sometimes inside the 5 yard line).

How many times in the last 5 years have I had a sick feeling in my stomach when it is 3rd and less than a yard, or we are going for it on 4th down and need a yard?

Forget the hype, if there is anywhere in the NFL where a team is USED TO DISTRACTIONS it is the Dallas Cowboys.

Thanks I must have missed that he looks like a TE to me. Hmm try TE in the NFL or go to Canada might wanna rethink things.

How about letting our RB's work on 3rd and inches. We don't need the Tebow circus for that.

How about our RB's and our QB? It's 3rd and inches, or picking your spot inside the 5 yard line. It's not a big deal, won't take a single thing away from Romo, but it could give other teams fits.

And I say again, in terms of a circus, isn't that the very definition of the Dallas Cowboys since Jones?

You have to pass more in Canada or Arena League. Don't see him doing that well anywhere in a pro league.

Tebow has a choice: change positions or don't play in the NFL.

He was being dangled for a 7th round selection and no one was biting. Face it, he can't play QB in this league.

Oh my God. Now I'm going to have to listen to my friend once again talk about how we need to get Tebow and fire Romo.

I mentioned TE long ago but now I think he would make a great FB. I'm not talking about just a banger but someone like Moose. Moose could run pretty well and not fall down after turning up the field (well mostly not). I think Tebow can run fairly well due to his strength and quickness (not quicks but 3 cone quick) and he can catch the ball. He'd also make a great HB option play.

Edit: Actually I think he'd make a very good FB/F back/H back/TE.

When you can win a game in today's NFL only completing 2 passes you really have a great defense and running game.

Never believed in the hype and anyone that suggests we go after him is immediately getting blocked and should really lay off the bath salts.
